I had a purge on clocks because of this crap. Not only that it seems modern clocks, especially electronic/digital ones built into devices have worse time keeping than their counterparts made in the 70’s and 80’s. Not to forget ones that reset on every power cut (can get one every month).
The clocks on the ovens are a bug bear...top of the range Siemens, reset every power cut, loses about a minute a fortnight and doesn’t adjust for summer time. Thankfully there’s an option in the service menu to turn off the back light when the ovens are off, so I don’t need to bother with it anymore except on the rare occasion I need it to automatically turn on...which is once a year (Christmas
).
