Hi John

Yep its pretty hard to get GT products. Ive bought 5 Porsches in 5 years with only 2 being GT3's and ive just ordered a 911 GTS in manual for the Mrs (a 2nd car for me really)

I wanted the last RS and didn't get one, I want the next RS and am staying "in" with them so to speak hence the new GTS purchase. When I got offered a GT3 I was even prepared to let it go for someone else to have it for the sake of a better chance of the RS but was told they couldn't guarantee me one although I have a good chance.

So yes residuals stay good and they keep the numbers pretty low which is a bonus if you can get one. That bubble may well burst but its going to need a recession to do it and I honestly don't think it will hit them that hard and I wont be selling it if that ever happens. I tend to disagree a sticker price new GT3 is overpriced when you consider the amount of supercars far higher priced it shames

These colours are very 'in' just now. Audi does a slightly darker grey colour for the RSs. The Porsche looks cracking. Dream car.

Aha. I've seen crayon interiors but not paint, looks great anyway.

Thanks for your input.

I did enquire about the GT3.....I'm sure you can guess the response I got

How does it differ from the standard GT3 on the road? For fast road driving is the GT3 (yours looked stunning) not the better car? The RS being better for track work?

Must be great being in the position you're in to keep changing your Porsches the way you do. Very Jealous.

After Dingledonger's experience, I personally wouldn't be showing both my house name and reg, but maybe you have that covered.

Thanks, Believe it or not its just as road worthy as the GT3 in terms of compliance. ride quality just as good, rearward vision actually better as the spoiler is higher, There's even more tyre sidewall too for the odd uneven surface/pothole etc. The front end on the RS is amazing, it has so much turn in and grip at the front that it actually can make the rear feel looser than the GT3. I predict that the balance and poise on circuit will be quite a joy. They have doubled the spring rate over the last RS but somehow made it ride better. The green is the launch colour so most of the cars are green and its an RS so its not supposed to be subtle

Oh bloody hell that's lovely, I must own one before I die.

I just wish I could actually go and buy one for the original asking price. It's quite annoying....

Anyway, congrats, awesome car....and I like the colour!

Sorry, haven't logged in for ages. I went on the Porsche Experience Day last month had a great time in one of their Turbos. It was my first time on track and I got a lot out of the handling circuits.

Not sure which direction to go in next. I really want to tick the GT3 box but am worried about paying the premium on a used car and then the market imploding....that would be just my luck.

Depends how hardcore you want to go and if you are using as a daily. I would quite happily use a GT3 as a daily as its not as if you are driving a Caterham or something. Turbo S still a great all rounder, faster in a straight line and not giving away too much when it comes to fun. Prices across the board have softened in recent months but it still not a bad place to put your money. Used Gen2 GT3 are only a little above list at the moment and may still fall a little further as winter is coming but their prices will be solid or even climb a little over the next couple of years until the 992 GT3 comes out

I would definitely use it everyday, the Turbo S is my daily driver and a GT3 would be the same. Is there much difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 models?
