No nothing sorry , taken the inlet manifold off to swap for one we powder coated , the intercooler is off and looking to get it re-cored as the fins are quite bent , giving the engine bay a refresh , I've fitted a pair of mint low mileage P1 seats as I prefer the blue over the red sections on them
Apart from that it's had to take a back seat , we're busy in work , and the rest of my time is spent on my new build house , and i'm getting married in a week , so it's been a busy year so far !
We need a longer working week lol

wow , been a while since I put anything on this thread , car has been gathering dust and hasn't been touch for nearly a year !
Got the powder coated inlet manifold on , tarted a few things up under the bonnet , it desperately needs a new intercooler , it's the only thing under there that lets it down now .
Got on with the brakes as it's one of the last things to do , decided to go a bit special on them , couldn't really do anything normal that's been done before , so ordered up some AP Pro5000+ front 6 pots and rear 4 pots , have already made and fitted the fronts , with a 355mm disc , will probably go somewhere between 330mm - 345mm on the rears , and if needed put an in line adjuster to get the balance right.
Ordered a kit to repair the windscreen wipers as well off ebay this week , the bush on the link arm connected to the wiper motor had broken up , so see if this kit fits and fixes it
That's it for now , really trying to get it done for rally day next week , if i'm there , it will need to be trailored up , no chance of getting it road legal by then
Had a change of wheel last week , as the WRC offset wheels have finally be reproduced by Speedline , I had to get some to finish off the WRC look I want
Ordered some finishing bits from Import car parts this morning , so it's getting closer to being finished.
Got a local company to me to sort out recoring my intercooler last week , it's looking a bit sorry for itself , only problem they have is they can't get the crimped on cores , so they will have to weld it up to fit it , so will see how it turns out , my original one is in a right mess , and has loads of bent fins , so no way I can get it looking nice again , and have put loads of wanted add's up for a good one , and don't really want to spend out on a new standard one , as those prices have gone nuts , and not many about now
Going to be sorting out the rear brakes shortly , 340mm ish discs with AP Pro5000R rear 4 pots
Was having a look for something and didn't realise I hadn't put any updates on this , After seeing the P25 was going to make it's debut at Goodwood a while ago , it really gave me the kick up the backside I needed to finish it , especially after hearing rumors the kit they use is the same as mine ,car has been finished a number of years now , gets parked up over the winter in my heated garage , gets MOT's when the weather breaks and gets used on nice sunny days , I still love this car , and look forward to using it , sit in it now and again when I need to go to the big fridge in the garage lol
Just read through the whole post again , and was quite a gap when I bought land and built a house , still living there , finished that 5.5 years ago , and not long after my son was born , and great now as he can help me wash it , he comes to all the shows or meets with me , can't wait until he's old enough to drive and enjoy it !
As you can see we got a blue theme going on , the Impreza is definitely my favourite .
Got a few plans for it this year , have bought new door glass as the originals have scratched , got a few scratches on the windscreen so will have that changed as well just to make it perfect, along with guide pads , new window regulators as the passenger side is a bit slow , bought brand new rear lights as IPC had a sale on a couple of years ago as mine look old , got new rear quarter seals to fit as they have got a bit tatty , a few other jobs to do , along with new plugs and fuel filter as never got round to changing them.
Apart from that , it's going out and enjoying it when it's dry .
Only change I made to the outside was fitting a front carbon splitter , wasn't going to do one until a photo I seen of the car at a meet made it look unfinished , glad I did

pretty sure all of the Prodrive P25 panels are made in house as well as fabrication shops they own their own composite factory...........just as they did with the old WRC cars and their other race projects, etc

That's one of Jamies kits and he doesn't supply Prodrive and iirc the clinic have some of the originals.

Originals as in what ?
I know the clinic do there own version , but believe they are fibreglass ?
The S5 had all steel quarter panels , sills and wings , no carbon . not sure what they made the bumpers out of , mine had a fibreglass one fitted when I bought it , think the rear was a carbon / kevlar one
The steel front S5 wings were half standard wing , with metal extension added on , I damaged the ones on my old WRC car , I had always planned on removing them and keeping them safe , and fitting cheap fibreglass ones but an 'off' beat me to it , still , sold them for a lot of money a few years ago damaged , very sought after now.
A friend of mine was 3rd or 4th in command in Prodrive back in the day , ended up as Petters manager when the Subaru team disbanded , i'll see if he can find anymore info out , he was a good rally navigator during his younger years , as he sat in my old WRC car as a test with Juha in Monte carlo as Juha's nav was ill , he said he still had a few bends to call and realised Juha had finished the section lol , said he was very fast , my old car was on display in the service area in rally Japan this year , and the owner has had the rally Argentina stickers put on it , and got Juha to sign it a few weeks later at a car show
Yes remember when You found a ditch with wrc car , landed in a bush due to poor brakes, and You sell upgraded brake kits.
Good You learned something and put some proper kit on above car.

In Jersey 2014 , you got a small part of that correct in that we went into a bush in someones garden , no ditch involved though , and sadly nothing to do with the brakes , but being a genuine ex-works Prodrive Impreza it did have good brakes on it , 365mm Alcon front discs and bells , AP 6 pot calipers and CL RC8 pads on the front , and 304mm Alcon discs and bells on the rears , with AP 4 pots and CL RC6 pads , one thing that it did well was stop , hopefully that clears up your confusion
The issues I had leading up to that rally was the active diff was playing up , and kept locking the front diff snapping front CV joints (at £600 a pop ) , as Jersey was all booked and paid for I decided to do the event with the active diffs turned off , should have cancelled it but thought I could drive around the issue , getting a note wrong on a brow leading up to a 90 right , I left the braking way too late and didn't make the bend , had the active diffs been turned on , it would have locked the diffs up under braking and make its very hard to lock a wheel , or an axle up , front wheels lock up and had no chance to stop , very expensive lesson learned , and glad Autosportif managed to find out the issue and fix it
Here's the bush in question , I swear a bit so not suitable for snowflakes !

They made the molds for their cars off the originals which they have.

Ah see what you mean , I believe the Clinic kit is a 22B based kit , different to mine as mine is based on the S5 WRC , my car is the same width , but the arch cutout is higher on the WRC , I think it's a much nicer look , all down the preference I guess .
Very aware what an S5 car is and the differences in them and the 22b. The only thing I was stating is that you thought your car had the same kit as the P25 which personally I think you should be grateful it isn't, Jamies kit imo is far superior.
