Once in a while i pop on for a look.
Current JDM STi I've had for 12 years now and covered over 104K miles in it myself, currently on 132K miles total, my old STi5 RA is still going with over 180K miles on it.
This is me at Silverstone just before the Covid crap kicked off winning again, I held the 2020 fastest lap at Silverstone for half the year until the F1 boys turned up.

This was actually my second SN login, as my IP services provider at the time folded and took my email account and password reset access with them. It was a lurker account anyway as I was just browsing back then.
First post on this account back then in 2001, was to get members on here exclusive parts access to a crashed P1 locally to me.
Those days were totally different to now, and 320bhp from a Sti5 or P1 with an Ecutek remap was a staggering amount for a reliable daily.
First Impreza for me back in 2001 was a V4 TypeR with all the Link, Leda and Defi essentials. Bought from Andy Dorrington on here and probably the best car I ever owned to be fair, and at a time when STI imports were still a rarity.Sold it in 2005, to buy the Twin Scroll car development car from Bob Rawle as I just wanted a newer car.
It was beast at the time and attracted positive attention back when we all used to have regular rolling road days. Those days ended in 2008 when the banking crisis hit and shaky job security prompted me to liquidate some toys.
At the same time as owning the BRD car I ran a Forester STurbo as my daily driver and a second 2.5l X-Ten Forester soon followed the twinscroll car as my wife’s daily in 2009. Both of those foresters were upgrade to Forester STI suspension almost immediately, as they needed it.
The first forester went to another member in 2010 who only parted with it last year and the second sold in 2014 when a new Audi S4 arrived ending my Subaru owning streak.
I have had a few other new and used powerful AWD petrol cars, including a certain Mitsubishi Hatchback with Evo RS AWD running gear that I built in 2010 and still own today and use occasionally on track.
My now grown up sons, often recant how cool they felt turning up at primary school in the Scooby back then, and I have often thought about getting back into a Scooby but haven’t quite made that leap back yet,

Surprised SN is still going
Joined back in 2000 whilst living back in the U.K. for a year and becoming a Scooby enthusiast. Bought my second Impreza in the Netherlands in 2001 and a Forester Turbo just before my first son was born in 2004. Sold the Forester in 2007 and haven’t had a Scooby since nor visited Scoobynet much either.
The golden years were great with thousands of posts being made every hour by a wide range of great characters. I remember the infraction system which was excellent for the odd Infractothon.
Finally the site died because Subaru stopped making interesting cars and most of us moved on. I haven’t visited often enough to notice that the forum became a Remoaner hot bed. Thankfully!

do it mate 👍 I love my blobeye, gets looks every time I take it out. Makes all the right noises too. The only problem I have is whenever I take it out I’ve GOT TO spend approximately 3 hours getting it clean before I put it away. Thankfully I have a gf who understands my OCD.

Type r’s are becoming silly money now, I’d absolutely love one myself but can’t see it happening the way prices are going. Lovely Orion btw 👍👍👍

Hello, thought I would pop in and say hello, saw a picture on FaceBook of a Vulcan Bomber and its crew, at the front there was a Les Wilcox and that reminded me of Les from Scoobynet and was wondering if he still posts ?
https://scontent-lcy1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...38&oe=60D61430
Is that "our" Les ?

Never actually got one, came on here when wanting one, went through Fiat Coupe, Volvo T5, 944, TT etc but wife always pulled a face at a Scoob, just sold a BMW M135i and grabbed my sons 2015 Fiesta ST which I am modifying, currently on 240 bhp but will take it up to around 300,
Spent many a happy hour on here but defected to Pistonheads some years back.

I still pop in here most days. These are my boys
Have neither at home at the moment. Hopefully the Impreza is coming home this weekend after a full rebuild underneath. Evo has just been dropped with a local ish garage for some much needed TLC.

it’s been stored since 2018 so I’m just getting it road ready, it’s got stacks of receipts and history, was running 342bhp according to various rolling road print outs, it’s had some other bits added to it since then. Pretty good body work and it’s solid where they usually start to rot... maybe the previous owners are on here as it’s been well cared for and had some ££££’s thrown at it

Still got the wagon. Still not finished. It's getting a new home though as I'm rebuilding my garage/workshop and making it a bit wider so I can work on it inside.
Current Honda shaped toy, which I've had for six years I think. Old members will recognise the venue and a couple of people in the background too

The Evo is a GT so a much calmer drive than the RA. Can do miles in the GT with it's taller 5th gear whereas the RA often feels like it needs 7th Speed wise the Evo is supposed to be 400hp but feels slower than the RA which just has a map so 350?? I guess it's down to gearing. Both of them are having a full make over but have gone a bit too far with the RA so that will be only for me. The Evo has a bit of a past (clocked and bumped) so that is going to be the family toy (if that makes sense) even though it was nearly twice the price of the RA (I messed up heart won over head) but it's mine now and I've grown too fond of it to let it go.
I feel like I can push the RA more than the GT. They've both been fitted with Meister R GT1 but have only driven the Evo on them. Hoping to get the RA back this weekend after a 6 month sabatical being refurbished.
