I will probably change my current Leon FR for a Cupra 300 when my 3yrs is up - love the FR, but the 0-60 in 4.9 with 4WD is too appealing..

sorry Since the R35 is going after 6 years of ownership (leave tomorrow for 1 last tour through Europe in it), the 240z and escort mk1 might actually be finished this year
I will keep and drive the 240z and the mk1 for a little while each, but they will both be sold this year. Then I am off to Japan for a few months and travelling after that.... so don't see long term car ownership in my future....
But if I was staying, I would be keeping 1 of the classics and looking at either a V12 Vantage or a McLaren 540C

Well, as I've just recently got back into Scooby owenership, I'm not looking to change, however I just think most things have got very dull.
It's basically all 2.0 4 pot turbo auto in various configurations, lifeless steering, lots of dirivng 'modes' that do very little, too insulated, not enough NVH. Even the 335i I had with the MPE was dull.
I'd like more 'worse' cars to choose from

One of my MK1 Golf diesels has 475000 km and only recently had an engine refresh... mostly due to the bloke driving it not pulling over when he had a hose let go on the cooling system... wouldn't fany the bills that go with getting a modern diesel to that sort of milage.
Oh and they're boring of course... as well as looking the same for the most part... mate of mine has just bought a new Alfa saloon... looks just like a 3 series BMW bar the badge.

I also like working on my cars... modern cars are all electronics based, you need a computer to do an oil change otherwise you get a dashboard full of flashing lights... and all these "driver aids" bollocks to that... I want to lock my brakes up and drive the car as I see fit... not have some computer program butt in and try and take over... now that does scare me.

That's why I've also got a 1963 VW beetle in the garage. Something to fix occasionally! Not that I get the time to do that these days with 2 young kids running around.
My every day car needs to be something modern with isofix and serviceable by local garages whilst being practical with 2 kids and all the rubbish that comes with them you need to move about. All that and fun to drive! Hence Forester STI currently. I would entertain going to a new STI saloon though.

Retro is the way forward.
I also like working on my cars... modern cars are all electronics based, you need a computer to do an oil change otherwise you get a dashboard full of flashing lights... and all these "driver aids" bollocks to that... This ^^^ Which is why I am looking at fixing my current hawk STi gearbox / getting a refurb rather than chopping it in.
Not in the same league I know but when I was driving away in the 1lt Fiesta courtesy car from Bell & Colville yesterday, it was like being in a polystyrene box, couldn't hear the engine at all, steering vague, clutch non existent, brakes no modulation (nearly went through the windscreen)
Well equipped and comfortable but could have been anything.

Currently drive a Mk7 Golf GTD as my daily which I have had for 18 months since new and covered over 25k miles. Having pretty much driven German cars for the past 15 years (well apart from a Renault Clio but less said about that, the better) I have stuck with the devil I know however I'm considering something different.
Recently bought a 2002 Forester s-Turbo to move DIY stuff round and have a bit of fun and with this being my first Japanese car I'm start to warm to the brand. I' in the process of paying off the Golf PCP so no doubt by the end of August the Golf will be up for sale - so what comes next as a daily. Not 100% sure at the moment
