Exhaust leak and revs rising between gear changes

When you're WOT shifting through gears, do you get hesitation as you put it in gear and floor the throttle? So as the gear goes in and your foot goes down, there's a slight hesitation before the power comes in. I had this before I changed the o2 sensor, but just wondering if you have the same symptoms as me.
