Andy, it has only been asked for since the begining of december TBH.
As i have said a few times, i would like to see it, and if people keep asking ALL the time then it is bound to happen at some point.

DO IT!
DO IT!
It will make for excellent reading.
To be perfectly honest, the whole "technical" section could probably benefit from a re-think anyway.
A "FAQ Frequently asked questiosn" forum for newbies would be excellent. Even if it just held a single page of very long HTML detailing all the stuff that is pretty much established knowledge.
An "Advanced Technical" would be excellent for things like Engine internals, turbo internals, bespoke fabrcation, etc etc
"Basic Techincal" could be all the usual "Bolt on goodies" stuff.
"Projects" speaks for itself. (David Wallis woz ere....)
"Drivetrain" gearboxes, wheel hubs, differentials, etc etc etc.
Gotta go....girlfriend wants something......

Are the powers that be against this idea ? this has been bumped up and down for a while now but no one has said YAY or NAY to the idea ?
Can one of the mods contact simon direct and ask him or ask some one to make the decision ?
Andy...in support of the new forum

I set up a forum for http://www.xtr2.net the other day. It didn't create a projects forum but could do at the drop of a hat.
If Simon has built scoobynet as well as I think he has adding this new forum should be a doddle.
The best thing to do is click the 'report this thread to a moderator' link at the top of the page. I'm sure Shaun or whoever gets the message will try and sort this out for us.
I am using the projects forum on 22b at the moment - but unfortunately haven't posted a sausage since anders first told me about it (sorry anders). I will post a thread this weekend - How to prepare the braking system of a Pug 205 gti for stage rallying - exciting stuff - honest
Ian.

tony,
tell me about it..
Im welcome to post on turbosport and 22b's project site, and can have a project forum on 5ive-o.com where I help moderate, but as you can tell by my post counts I stay here more.. so would rather post on here.
Look at www.turbosport.co.uk for an example and thats more a ford site than anything else.
*** I'd like to say thanks to the moderator(s) that have emailed me with there support.. However Simon has yet to reply to my emails ***

It would have been polite to have webbie even respond to this post with a simple yes or a no
There doens't appear to be a problem when there's a need to sing the praises of Prodrive
Ever get the feeling you're being ignored

Pontificating
Not really my thing a projects forum but after reading 6 pages of this thread you get to sense an amazing enthusiasm about these guys owning their scoobs. and having this forum seems like common sense you'd get a forum where there would be no prating about and it will be left to the real enthusiasts.
Maybe you should advertise for support on the other forums you never know, power of the people and all that, i was pro Sport and it didnt take much to get that up, or the DIY forum so you shouldnt give up hope yet
Best of Luck
