That also crossed my mind, but if the obd port was the problem, the dealer couldn't connect to the stock ECU either, but that is no problem :-)

It's really strange...

Any ideas?

Contacted the seller, but he don't have the keys, so i am still stuck with 2 Ecu's that doesn't seem to work...

Is there anyone who have tried to work around the immobilizer, as i guess that's it's the root of the problem..?

Have you considered getting ESL? One of the (many) advantages is that it removes the immobiliser from the equation and the Prodrive SP map is also available as a base-map if you ask Andy to pre-install it for you. Obviously you can then fully custom map it too if you want to buy the cable.

Went trough all the wiring diagrams with a mechanic, and found out that pin 17/137 is supposed to give -12v when the engine is running, but that didn't fix the problem, so it must be the immobilizer... have anyone tried bypassing it? It looks like it is only affecting the fuel pump, crank and cam sensors, so theoretically out should run if you bypass them - but I'm afraid to destroy something...

Ask the seller if you send them back will he refund you? Or at least send him one back, as sounds like the faults your end.

I have to establish what the fault is first, as there obviously is nothing wrong with my car or the connection between car and computer....

I'm working on a solution with a new subaru dealer nearby 🙂

Sounds like they don't have correct equipment, some dealers have got rid if there old systems. Seen them forsale on eBay.

They have the equipment, otherwise they couldn't get in contact with the stock ECU 🙂
