Massive content freshness issues on the server now, even when logged-in.

They have switched to cloudflare. Very very aggressive caching.

I've been going into reply to post so that I can see the last post below where you would normally write a reply... then if I have something to say I write a reply or just put ..... and hit submit reply then it lets you see everything that's been written... bit of a pain... surprised it's taking them so long to sort it.

Fingers out please... it's getting boring now.

Even that doesn't work for me. Even when I post it not only doesn't show me the recent thread posts right to the bottom, but it still doesn't show me my actual post until I refresh the screen lots of times of come out of the thread and go back in again lots of times.

Mods, I also believe there is an error in the thread title with an H missing. Please can you correct this to: Scoobynet sH1te.

Thanks

There is a chrome extension called 'cachebuster'. All it does is adds a randon query parameter to the url, impossible to get a cached resource.

So https://www.scoobynet.com/1044652-scoobynet-site-2.html

Becomes https://www.scoobynet.com/1044652-sc...=1484862119184

This plugin fixes the issues for me, you need to add the following into its blocklist settings

images;assets;clientscript

seen here: https://cl.ly/3T3p1l31031R

Link to extenstion: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...hagkoikd?hl=en

Seems rather random for me, when I post I can see what I've posted... most of the time, then I go out and back in again on the same topic and I can't see what I've posted, then post again and hey presto... I'm back.

Crazy... if it ain't broke ... don't fix it. ;-)

Weird for me on my work safari. I can't see past page one of my car thread in members gallery. It just refreshes page 1 no matter what I do. New posts on it haven't been showing either. It's fine at home on my iPhone and iPad.

Adding a random query string results in a cache miss, I tested it.

https://www.scoobynet.com/images/cit...it.gif?foo=bar

So they must have it set to standard.

Just noticed that Scoobynet isn't running https, I suspect they're going to use Cloudflares free SSL service hence the changes and fun.

As of some time soon Google will start warning Chrome users that sites that collect login info are insecure if using http//
