OK maybe she didn't, but its a great little torch which does exactly what she needs in the dark mornings down the steps...
Think my daughter wants one now...
Use the smaller ring to attach to the light as the bigger one is a tighter fit and can make the torches bottom screws kill their threads.

Nice watch Ven, got mine on today!

Can't remember what my bracelet is but it came from somewhere like Denmark maybe (prob via china) but it's really thick and solid.

Don't get me wrong the RRP on the Aragon watches is hugely inflated but the price of them on sale and minus 20% too is very cheap.

I can't decide what watch I want next.. would love a vintage sub but that isn't gonna happen any time soon! Have my steinhart to ease the pain of that haha.

I'm thinking a Squale 1521 in blue.

Bracelet looks like the president(version of) which i like and have one.

Like the Squale quite a bit, nice................Dial on the Aragon looks a bit small in the large thick bezel for me. Like it and no doubt a bargain..................but not really for me.

Nice seiko, like the bezel on that............love the custom options for them!

Those Tudors are too close...........not well up anyway but that would be real hard for me to tell. But then if i was going to spend mega money, it would have to be from the high street, papers, warranty ............everything! No ebay regardless of any potential savings. Guess i am saying i would rather spend £2k and know its genuine than pay £1k and be unsure.........luckily(or not so i guess.........) i am not in that financial position anyway .

Got my torches today not a bad delivery time considering christmas rush, took around two and a half weeks from China to Croatia.

Convoy S1+ with a pouch and fancy glass (forgot what it's called) and the Convoy C8 and a belt clip, both seem to be working fine, can't wait till it gets dark so I can have a bit of a play.

Both seem like decent quality items as does the pouch and it has a spot for a spare battery too which I wasn't aware of.

I'm a happy man thus far.

Good stuff

I will say it wont end there.............. Depending on how it bites, maybe hunger for more output, or better tint/colour............

Its certainly a beast of a light matt, still gets pretty hot fast in 2 or so mins at 100%. Those xhp 35 HI's run quite toasty!

That's an intense beam of light, your camera making it look white? is it your furthest thrower?

Yes, the phone kind of changes the temp, it is 5000k which is a white/neutral but not as cool as shown. Does not help with everywhere frozen(makes colours washed out).

Yes, around 620kcd, next is the rc40vnT at around 500kcd. Flood biased suits my needs most, so i dont have that many throwers. Dont have the space to test them out for one, also a pencil beam is of no use for me. This as you can see is a mix of throw and bright spill so still useful other than spotting things 1.5km away.

A really great light is the k60vn, xhp70 shaved dome and around 4500lm. Stunning beam, around 200kcd but lots of bright spill.
I should say, all these pics are in real bad conditions, along with being frozen, there was lots of mist/fog which kills the far throwing beam

k60vn is a highly recommend matt, it wont be your furthest throwing or your floodiest light. But the control ring UI, huge OP reflector and a shaved dome xhp70 kicks out a very nice useful beam. Nicest beam i have seen, huge intense hot spot and perfect lighting for say 200yds-300yds of use(not at 0.25lux which is useless). Also it handles heat pretty well, gets toasty but when cold out, it can run for decent times.

I'm really impressed with my Convoy C8, beast of a torch if you ask me, so god knows what your guys monster lights must be like by comparison.

The Convoy S2+ is also a great little torch, it's a step up in spread and ever so slightly throw over my Fenix E11, but slightly on the yellow side in colour, which I wasn't sure about at first but now like as it doesn't dazzle and is perfect to have in the car and if i'm going to be out and about at night.

So as usual

Starting to feel the need for a bit of a beast in my life but one that's again not too expensive, say up to the £50/60 mark if that's possible, with a good throw beyond what the C8 can do, and decent battery that I can replace if required in the future.

So recommendations please as my birthday is coming up soon.

Glad happy, well to follow on with a light similar in ways to the above k60vn...............the convoy L6 falls in budget. xhp70, around 3500lm and fed on 2x 26650 cells. Possibly the best light for the money on the market today, bang for buck
http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_359831.html

Go for the 5000k , better colours over the cool white 6500k if you decide to bite. Also just a quick link, have a look around, banggood, aliexpress etc and even here in the UK.

Cheers ven,

Judging by other reviews you're on point as usual

Can you recommend some good 22650 cells for me as well please, so shine have had a good review but don't know any other brands, fortunately my charger can do those as well so no need for another charger.

Welcome, you need around 65-70mm long with 69.5mm recommended 26650 cells, no longer as could potentially damage light(you could also run 18650 button tops in a sleeve)

26 is 26mm round, 65 is length so same length as the 18650! just fatter.
Example of one

Or run a couple of INR18650 cells(have to be a matched pair of cells, so bought same time , same shop together). Never mix/match any cells (you know this, just in case someone reads and does not know)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-KE...5nSBUlh6PZmE1w

More compact option(not saying better than the l6 as its not, just more compact)

Ah ok wasn't aware of it just being related to the diameter, think I'll just buy 2 x 26650 and keep them for that light, better to start off with fresh cells me thinks.

Using my 2 oldest 18650's for the new torches and getting new ones for my vape mods as they see more use than the torches.

thanks again, very helpful as always.

The mule/drop in torch Vinh showcased on his last youtube vid was impressive, 3000 lumens of flood in a fairly small package. Ufft.

Mules are super useful for anything close up, just flood the area like a light bulb wood. Maybe good for 50+ ft. But even 3000lm from 2ft away does not dazzle back at your eyes.

No chance unfortunately matt, you could still buy but limited to private property/your house. Blade is near 4" which is not legal, auto is illegal too.
If you took the risk, it may get through customs, i have had 2 knives lost to customs. You then basically need to go court to justify the purchase etc.

I would say a good chance it would not get through, if you want a nice choice then buy UK for no issue at customs .

There are many gray areas, for edc i carry this

On offer and UK legal, my other knives have to stay at home unless camping and then obviously take extra care

What on earth are you doing to consider an "every day carry" knife?

That aside. As Ven said, that would be in the realms of "very illegal".

No matter where I go I seem to need a knife or scissors, stuff like buying a toy for the kids in the shopping centre to keep them happy and finding the packaging is Fort Knox. I'd love a small OTF knife to put on my keys if they were legal lol.

Is the Journeyer a bit too big to attach to keys? I wouldn't get into trouble trying to enter a football stadium with one in my pocket?

**** me, Olight have doubled the lumen record! They truly are the leaders in torches now. S1R Baton - R50PRO - X7 - X9, They just need to conquer the throwers now.
