RS_MATT, Have you ever reviewed the Nitecore concept 2? I'd like to know what your thoughts are on that one.
I liked the look of it, so I've ordered one from Aliexpress,
While I was at it, I also ordered a Nitecore TUP to replace my old Nitecore TIP that I lost recently.

I didn't review it, Nitecore have really short turbo runtimes now that annoys a lot of people. Like 6-7 secs long!

Nitecore TIP is really poor, 2 of mine broke.

I sold the TIP 2 on as the magnet was just too powerful, I feared for my phone and bank cards etc

Introducing the World's brightest pocket light, this f****** is a stadium floodlight in your jeans pocket, for up to 45 seconds that is... #data

I'm tying to source 18650 VTC6's in the UK but struggling to get a good price. I need 60 initially but quite likely hundreds more in the coming months. Currently it's more economical to have them sent from the US which juts seems silly. Anyone have a good source?

I bought some batteries from Fogstar recently for my Acebeam light.

They do bulk discount

I decided on the X65 mini which has wider near illumination aswell as decent 1km+ light throw.

My Acebeam X65 Mini arrived. Only a few available after joining a number of retailers email lists. I eventually found a small German outdoor online retailer who promised to be receiving stock the next day. Bingo ordered and duly arrived a week later.

The batteries were from Fogstar (no delivery of Hazmat internationally). I ordered 8 3000mA 18650 protected cells and super 8 cell lithium charger/conditioner/ tester.

Now the torch, its extremely well engineered with all aluminium body, weighty, but not heavy, comes with wrist band in case of dropping. The thing is rated for 1metre drop test and submersible for minutes.

The function of varying light output, simple with either long press or multi press of the on/off button.

Light output is ridiculously bright on 'turbo'. I could see trees 5-600 yds away in the dark. In reality though, at that range its just slightly illuminating them.

Around 350 yds there was sufficient brightness to make the object so illuminated that it was like daylight. I was pleasantly surprised to see more than 10 Hares in the fields, foraging..

The 5 led lens assembly provides a wide flood output for up to 100 yds, which is plenty for my requirements.

All in all, a good purchase.

I've finally been allowed to release the review! Slightly short of advertised specs (Like the SSC) but it's still impressive.

@RS Matt Do you know of a really good red led headlamp?

I know Fenix has an sst40, but is there anything you know of?

How does the sst40 stack up against xhp35 or 50.2, as my Astrolux FT02s will be on its way.
Hope it'll make a good q8 replacement.
