D2 , K sport and XYZ are all the same kits made in the same factory , just badged up differently
Similar in that it uses Brembo calipers , both the kits we sell uses larger calipers than the GT ones , then the discs , bells and brackets are made by us
Cheers Ian
How come they look different? Or is it only the early ones that do?
Also weren't the dust seals different? or have they now changed them now?
Look how tight the ap are standard sti wheels 8.5 x 18 et53
Those must be the 355mm discs! What's the deal with the standard STI wheels that are 17", how come the brembos clear them wheels....offset??? Are those wheels 114.5 as oppose to the 100's that I require?
No they won't. Simple solution is to fit sti wheels. The rears use a different handbrake drum too, iirc Godspeed make a conversion kit to enable sti brembos to fit the wrx.
I'm guessing the offset of the STI wheels are different to the wrx wheels?
So if I find a set of STI wheels that are 17" and almost identical looks wise to the wrx wheels then they will clear brembos seeing as though they're fitted with brembos?
the off-set is near identical its the inner spoke design and width of the specific wheel that dictates clearance on the brake caliper
I'm having a complete mind **** trying to suss this one out
Are the std wrx wheels and STI wheels from 2002-2004 (100pcd) visually the same? I found an online guide that says they're all roughly ET42-50 and if the Brembos and discs on the 02-04 are 330mm and clear the STI wheels then I'm struggling to work out what's different between the std wrx wheels and 02-04 STI wheels.
But.....if the difference is to the inner spoke design and that they differ slightly then that makes sense. So if I purchased 02-04 17" STI wheels they'll clear brembos???
std Subaru off-set is around ET53 not at all whatever guide you found
the std WRX wheels look slightly like STi wheels but are totally different in fitment
Is that offset the same between the wrx and STI Pcd-100 wheels?
Working out costs I reckon I'll be better buying the big brake kit from Godspeed when the time comes. By the time I buy a set of 2nd hand brembos, discs & the wheels I'd be well on the way. I'd need to have the wheels powdercoated as well unless I was lucky enough to find a set that were already the colour I wanted.
In the new year I'm going to go with a bigger brake kit up front from Godspeed and as their kits come with brackets for the fitment of the caliper it got me thinking......
When it's comes to using the gold brembo calipers from the STI are they a direct fit without adaptors? And is the rear caliper a direct fit as well? I know the discs have a different diameter housing for the handbrake shoes etc.
I think I'll go down the route of fitting the rear brembo calipers purely for aesthetics as I think small discs behind alloys look ****e. And if it improves the braking even further then that's a plus.
P.S or are those brackets the same as the brackets already fitted to the car and they just supply new ones with the kit??
The gold brembos will be a direct fit aslong as they clear your alloys mate.
in terms of the rears. Aslong as you don't have a hatch, I think that they should fit without adapting them to your car I believe.
I was just checking, I'm wanting to keep the wrx wheels so it'll be the brake kit from Godspeed but I'm wanting the Brembos at the rear. Did you get your Brembos yet?

you will need adapters to fit brembos to an r160 hub..... Unless you have the subaru branded 2 pots, in which case they will bolt straight up...
