So Brexit seems to be a good thing then.

Peons like us (well me for sure) will have to see how this is played out; we have no influence at this time.
I think if Parliament does not accept it, then the default position is to leave without a deal.
The EU have given the date of Oct 31st - the UK can't just can it.
The only thing we can do is ask for an extension - but what reason will the EU have to grant it? - there is deal on the table - take it or leave it.

The deal will get rejected, request for extension will be denied and we will leave with no deal. Simple yet devastating for our country IMO.
I suspect parliament might just accept this deal, all depends on how many Labour MPs rebel and vote for it!
One way to definitely get it through parliament would be to tie it to a referendum, then it depends what the options are - Deal/No Deal or Deal/Remain or Deal/No Deal/Remain

A senior EU official said this morning: "We were told in 2018 by the UK government that the ratification process takes six months, at the beginning of 2019 we were told that it takes six weeks, and the latest is that a few days is more than enough."
He'll then send letter asking as per legal requirements and junker will respond saying no and no deal gets it.
it's pretty clear thats what will happen now.

with so much hyperbole it’s hard to know what will really happen and who is bull****ting hardest...
Except that it's not Junker who decides whether the EU agrees to an extension or not...
They want to put pressure on the parliament to vote for the deal, so they're not going to say we can extend at the moment. They will extend our it gets voted out though as there now has to be an election.
No. They will certainly not apply pressure.
The EU will not do Boris's job for him. If parliament doesn't vote for the deal they will extend.
Remember; the best outcome for the EU is that the UK holds a third referendum, votes to remain and doesn't leave.

Yep I agree, I see no alternative outcome other than leaving on 31st with no deal, which is exactly what Boris wants anyhow.

Best outcome for the UK too...will be an interesting couple of days.
To be honest, I think most of the hard-core Brexiteers are more about the market volatility that Brexit creates and makes them richer than any actual Brexit plan. The longer they can drag on the uncertainty, then the longer they can exploit the market volatility!

These people won't be touched by any economic fall out as they are rich...great opportunity to make more money though.
So why did Boris pull the vote on the deal?
All the amendment did was to ensure we don't crash out on the 31st in case there are delays approving the legislation. They could have still voted on the deal and got all the legislation passed on time and leave on the 31st.
This delay is now in Boris' hands, Brexteers can't put this delay on remainers!

This may be part of the Cummings plan to try and force a no deal exit?
