windows 10 - 1607 build
Got to admit I was expecting an hour, maybe a tiny bit more. This is taking the **** now 96% in four hours, it hasn't started the customary 7 reboots yet.
It was a brand new Dell Tough Thing a few months ago, updated to Win10 the same day, two tiny programs installed, used on site once then put in my backpack till now.

I seem to have installed this a while back.
I'm not computer type , so wasn't poring over it ...
wasn't that much drama as I recall
( old dell )

Still 99% had to Google. This is definitely not uncommon. It could be because I didn't apply updates before this update, but as you can see that wasn't working either. Going to leave it overnight. People wonder why I recommend Macs.
Found 2 issues so far.
When chrome is active, the taskbar won't show if its hidden. A restore/max of the chrome window cures it until a reboot.
And this will please Jack my emoticons don't show up in facebook

Anyone updated to the "creators edition" yet? I did it manually from the media creation tool, everything was fine for 3 days, then this morning, booted up and it was stuck on the startup logo/black screen with the spinning dots icon
When this has happened in the past it's usually a failing device that causes it, HDD usually, but there is nothing wrong with mine.
If i CTRL-ALT-DEL and logged in, i could tell it had loaded up everything in the background but it was still stuck on the black logo screen.
So I had to restore it back to the anniversary edition to recover it :/ I can't find anything about it online?
Thinking i might wait until the update is available from win updates instead now... bloody MS, useless

I bought the 2016 version or Word last night. Wouldn't install so I rang Microsoft and 2 hours later it is just about working.
But in the process I lost use of Picture Manager which I used a lot especially as a quick way of compressing a 3 mb picture to say 250 kb that I could send in an email.
The Microsoft Picture management software seems many steps backwards and I gave up.
Any suggestions?
Not helped by my son sending me some 30 mb pictures from his new Sony digital. He used some fancy transfer software sending 500 mb in total. Haven't a clue about all this
