That is a known fact, but in general usage the Samsung can withstand actual immersion in water.
iPhones are generally bought by the less than intelligent, like yourself.
The people who actually understand specifications, well they look elsewhere.

So you are less likely to get a conversation like above on the galaxy customer support line.

That pie Jack, you really need to stop wasting them.

I can stop here now to save you further damage if you like.

http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/1384...rproofing-mean

So will the Galaxy Note 7 survive a drop down the toilet?

During the launch keynote it was joked that you can even drop the Note 7 down a toilet and it will survive. We haven't tried it yet, but there's no reason to think that's not true.

Samsung claims that the Note 7 can be submerged under water down to a depth of around 1.5 metres (5 feet) for 30 minutes, which is impressive.

More impressive still is that it remains water resistant even when the S Pen is removed from the handset. The hole where it usually slots in is also protected.

The S Pen too is IP68 rated, so can also be submerged under water.

So it's very likely the phone with survive a drop into a loo, although we wouldn't recommend it as the case isn't rugged and it might be physically damaged in the fall

I use my current iPhone 6+ in the rain, a bit silly I know but so far no trouble. The new one has better protection so I expect I'll worry even less. It definitely won't be an issue.

It's not waterproof by the way, neither is your beloved Samsung.

You're such a troll, born one, wakes up as one. Soul purpose is to troll.

I'm talking about the s7e, have no interest in the note 7.

And there in lies the crux of every Android vs Apple argument, XYZ has a bigger/higher numbers so must be better by default. Regardless of whether or not those bigger numbers make any difference in the real world.

Well you need to read up on IP ratings then, there is a noticeable difference, the time and depth emerged underwater is the key difference between them, it's nothing to do with which is the higher number lol, I'm not interested in flapping my e-***** around like the iSheep.

Ok bigger numbers was a generalisation but you get my point. Incidentally in this case the difference isn't that drastic (50cm according to Samsung).

You really do have a nack for being wrong don't you. While we're on the subject of a lack of understanding, that's a really nicely worded statement.

I know a lot of people use an 3.5mm jack as an AUX input with older cars. Not being able to charge the phone at the same would be a pain. I'm sure they've come up with a solution to that with the forthcoming apple car though.

Yes they have another adapter for that, which is another £35 for the privilege! If i was a 7 user, i would be slightly peed off to say the least. Or you could use a charging dock, not ideal.

iPhone 7 take up will be low, not because people have to use proprietary headphones or bluetooth headphones, it's because no one will be able to operate the shutter button on their selfie sticks anymore for their Facebook/twitter/Instagram/etc photos.

I won't miss it at all. My phone connects via bluetooth to my car stereo, it's 9 years old but still does the job, used to be better with the old style connector it was made for, but still gets the job done. Like most people I'll be buying bluetooth headphones next, so no bother there either, the only others I use are the included ones and those work fine. Can't say that I've ever used headphones and charged at the same time.

Load of fuss about nothing.
