Paul is something of an introvert and I don't think that people skills come easily to him. However he comes across, I'm 100% sure it's not intentional or out of arrogance.

I have used Bob Rawle who was very good and a gentleman too. I have also used mark at TDR who again is very good and also very honest. If I needed another map doing my choice would be mark at TDR as he was cheaper but also a lot more local to me. Had lots of work done there and would not take it anywhere else now. I'm guessing there is no right or wrong mapper as they all map a car very much the same its down to distance and cost. Oh and the fact they are all in contact with one another in some shape or form.

I think many on here would disagree with this and would say the map is the most important factor in determining whether a car drives really well or like a complete dog. Bad map = car detting its t!t$ off, even forged builds going pop. Some on here can vouch for this.

Why would he get someone else to Map his car if he is a maper?
Joking aside he is not the first I have AVCS heads on my classic back in 2012 and there is people who had it before me. In regards to someone else mapping his car, because they have more experience and are better at mapping than him simple as that. Have a nice day chap

Well, to be fair, I haven`t chased him as I have been away from civilization and media a fair bit, and he needs a chance to see it; It`s easy to cry foul when a failing component is causing the issue, and not the map, I am aware of that. Still, it is the 2nd car I have had mapped there, and that had the same sort of holding back jerk when flooring it from low revs, just not so bad.

this has to be a fake account.

1st post ever on here mentions sioc, goes from being dyslexic and txt speak to writing multiple sentence literate posts and has a 440bhp uk2000 from Rotherham.

Cmon, own up, who is it?

Like the photoshopped picture of his car in front of the plane?

You can still see the reflection of his unit lights in the windscreen and the car is lit up, but the plane is in a dark sky

Paul worked on my old car many times, I wouldn't of said he was arrogant. Not the most chatty of guys I'll admit but a nice guy none the less and fantastic at his job. Also more than happy to work into the night on one occasion when things weren't going quite to plan.

Has anybody had their car mapped at motorsport developments in Blackpool? Massive in the Ford tuning world, but never heard of any work done on scoobys.

With the responses about huffy, it just proves the point the op was making

Just say who mapped your car, not 'experienced mapper'

I, as a rule, judge any mapper by his own vehicle and how it performs. I've used Andy F for many years. Quite the commute from N.I which is a pity as he dosent travel to map any more. I have a car being mapped by Bob Rawle next month and will be able to directly compare it to my own current car that was mapped last year by AF. Engineering/development is key I believe in a mappers background. Plenty of whiz kids around that can use a laptop without fully appreciating the consequence of their adjustments. Especially on a long term basis.

I'm guilty of using the 'respected mapper' tag, I am more than happy to say I wouldn't use anyone else other than Andy Forrest. Having spent most years in Scotland he's the only one I'd trust.

I'm looking to get my car mapped and when I see threads like this honestly it puts the ****s up me......

My cars on a running in map at present and when I pick my car up from api on the 26th of September I will be looking for a mapper to map it on a rolling road somewhere on the way home to Wales. But I'm not sure who to trust after a bad experience with a company whos reputation used to be great but now a complete shambles.

I took my WR LTD Legacy to David Hendry in Malmesbury. Top service and they have been around a longtime.

It's on your way back to Wales

TDR is only in Warwick, 25 minute drive if that. I've been using them since 2008 and recently had a 2.1forged build dropped in.

My car on the rolling road for 1st mapping session after 1k mile run in.

That's exactly how PowerStation used to run the cars to be fair.

Don't see why not ?
Orange pipe is attached to big turbine fan then zip strapped to TMIC so gets constant airflow . . . The TMIC was cold to touch after the mapping session so something must be working right !?
