Sorry, i am in that "honeymoon" phase. I love the way the power is delivered, it's very rear biased when you start putting big power down, which i love.

Cool

If you look at the picture of the input shafts, from left to right you have: Standard, Quaife, Quaife big tooth, DOME Swedish.

If you look at the picture of the 5th gears, from left to right you have: Quaife, DOME Swedish

BM,
I haven't really abused the car yet, so don't know. It still has the standard front and rear diffs, so I haven't given it any stick off the line yet. However, it appears to be holding up to the current power. Will let you know as and when it dies... A true test won't be until it is "launched".

Cossies RULE!

Mike the car, although if you are clever you could have me on the bonnet (photographically speaking) of course, although I am sure Ima will volunteer for the real thing whilst he inspects your dipstick. LOL.

Amazing machine.
How much have the conversions cost?

If anywhere near 40K, then I know I would buy a 911 turbo
rather than a modified escort, scooby or evo.

Each to their own but you could spend 20K on a Micra and make it into a pocket rocket but it still wouldn't have the class of a supercar.

Mike, give me a shout when it trashes its driveshafts and we'll sort you out with custom designed reinforced ones.

My old man designs & builds them for rally teams as a small part of his main business, in other words they're QUALITY (he's a 'Fellow' in the Chartered Institute of Engineers)

Give me a shout if you need any.

Cool

Daz,
I take it you mean the front ones? Could you mail me with some details please - costs, and technical specs compared to the OE items.

I hope these aren't elongated at all, as these tend to pop out under load.
Thanks
Mike R

Mike, we're setup to do any kind of Driveshaft you like, either standard OEM or custom built to your requirements. If my memory serves me right we've done some special one-off reinforced shafts for Sierra Cosworth rally cars and some touring cars. They kept trashing their OEM parts so we custom built some new shafts for them.

I'll get someone to contact you via email in the next couple of days.

Yes nice looking car but its a ford! I'm sure if you threw that kind of money/time into a flat four then it would definately be considerably faster than yooooooowwww!

just stating the obvious of course.

I wouldnt think so RB5....Unfortunatly Mike is a poof and likes his gauges and wheels.....Just like i like my sound system and cone filter.....But forget silly extras....for pound for pound performance mods the Cossie is leagues ahead of the Jap stuff.....Watch this space...My cossie will have more than Mikes old Saff....So mine will be extremely faster than all yows......Although i fancy everyone being able to out brake and out handle me......

Importsti,
The car has had well in excess of £40k spent on it and I could have quite easily gone and bought a 911, but even the latest 911 turbo that I could have bought for the same money would have been slower - less horsepower AND 200kg more weight, so it would only be for the badge and I am not a snob...
