I do have a finished design, and have had them on my car for over a year. But I had to get them printed professionally on a SLS machine. I just couldn't get a decent text quality on my own machine. This makes them more expensive but the quality is much better.
Its not really worth my time to take orders and play middle man, so I'll post up the 3D file and a link to the website I used...

Download the file here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...DU?usp=sharing
Upload it to this website to order: https://www.3dpeople.uk/
Just click on "Upload a 3D file"
When you get to the options select the following
Technology: SLS
Material: Nylon
Layer thickness: 100 mic
Filling: Solid
Polishing and dye are up to you. Polishing might not be a bad idea, but you'll then need to key the surface before painting. For reference the photo's I sent were of unpolished prints.
Remember to order the correct quantity you need!

To be honest, I am planning on sticking some gel stickers on top, I think they look better than painted. If I find the right size, that is. Prob will have to sand the printed caps to flat, otherwise it's going to be a convex sticker over the convex cap, and that would be too much...roundness.

I know this is an old thread, but wondering if anybody has had these done recently? You happy with the results? About to order me some.

I've saved off a version with a flat face and no logos to suit a gel sticker: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Jr7...usp=share_link
Enjoy!

I've had mine on my winter wheels for two winters with no problems, other than wishing I'd bothered to sand them smooth before painting them.

That should look great, post pictures up for us to see when you're done.
PS I'd suggest doing a small test on the back side with what ever paints you want to use. Just to make sure they dont react with the nylon.

Not perfect, but good enough in particular from afar. The wheels anyway need a refurb this year, so at that point I’ll make another set and try another technique.
The gold marker I used (Edding 0.8mm) worked like a charm. And clear nail polish is also a good coating. Easy to apply and cheap. Although next time I may use epoxy resin. But I should have sanded more, just couldn’t be bothered. Again, good enough for now.
