I think we parked by the London Eye, police watching the time we were there, for approximately 2 hours. Bizarre situation I found, then on the next few days it was apparent it had become a Youscoob event not an ESC regardless of a posting on the page.

People dressed in Hanna Barbara Scooby Doo outfits with young children roughly under 5 in Scrappy Doo costumes, an aggressive and untidy woman with a lovely arm sleeve tattoo - buckets in both hands almost demanding our loose change for the nominated charity.

This is not classic ownership is about.

Quite agree. I remember the first Tunnel Run I did when I moved down here in 2007. It was like nothing I'd ever attended before. The buzz and atmosphere was electric. Was a truly amazing night.

A few of us tried to keep the Tunnel Runs going when a few of the key ESC members stepped down but the following year a few got the hump as we wanted to make some changes like take in London Bridge and Buckingham Palace.

Unless you are familiar with the inner workings of the youscoob community and the members that are affiliated with the said group, then you would totally understand my rational.

But trust when I advise I am a long standing member, I have met a great number of people through the various South East Impreza groups, some I consider good friends.

From what I remember the last tunnel run was a chaos night.

Various cars in every direction, street racing, no organisation on the route.

The raffles were a particular high point...

I spend weeks planning the routes ! I can’t help that people don’t take the time out to understand and gain the basic knowledge of the routes for the night ! Most just follow the car in front and hope for the best ! Which I believe is what you done, when you got stuck at the London eye for 2 hours with the police watching you! I heard about you lot… Not following the planned route and making a bee-line straight towards the London eye whilst the rest of us was around Westferry / Limehouse Link following the planned route

Ok I’ll hold up my hands …. I failed ….. After some careful thought, myself and Lorraine will step down from running the ESC Tunnel Run, We’ve tried the best that we can for 4 years, but it’s a hard game trying to live up to the expectations of the ‘Glory Days’ !

I’m sure YouScoob will step aside and hold their YouScoob Tunnel Run event near the end of summer, which will release the original date back to you …… The ESC Tunnel Run - 29th October 2016.

It’s all yours if you want it TurboAndy ….. Just reach out and take the helm

I completely don't blame you. After being hounded by them and wrongly accused, having them turn up on my doorstep taking pictures etc it's a wise move. We did seek legal advise and have cctv and their own posts but decided it wasn't worth pursuing because it would prolong the crap dealt out.
It isn't a real club it is a farce of the highest order. We love our cars and we put them to good use, one family got 13 cars to japday on our own stand. We choose to still keep in touch with old Kent Scoobies, even still has a Facebook page because they are and were decent human beings.

I believe that will work best.

I know of a core group of 10/15 fellow members and enthusiast Impreza owners who remain as ever wanting to 'reclaim' the original Tunnel Run date and were not to enamoured of the Youscoob theft/invasion.

By all means, please run your own branded youscoob event, I'm sure it will be a big hit, your numbers are not a problem.

Whilst our October run may never be able to catch the 'glory days' or match your FB group for numbers, I feel we will have a far more enjoyable night knowning a lack of street racing, boy racers, tins on wheels and of course no 'Scooby Doo' costumes in sight.

What can you say to that?

You can tell a lot by that person and their use of grammar, spelling, etc.

And looking through the Youscoob page that does not say much...

Doesn't surprise me.

I don't know you or what your involvement with the Tunnel run is. I know Lorraine and can't complain at the effort she does as I know what's involved in organising this. What I'm unhappy about and other members I've spoken too is the fact youscoob are involved with there talentless boy racer members that think they are the next Colin McRae. They are welcome to do there street racing and generally act like idiots just not around me or my car.

As for taking over from you, no thanks. We weren't good enough back then so why now. We had members from Beds and Bucks Scoobys and West Mids Imprezas along with a couple from ESC who organised it a few years back but after we surgested a couple of changes we were then cast aside without even being told or explanation.

I too have known the effort these guys go to, Lorraine and Ron, while I have met neither I have seen the work these chaps do and it is to be applauded.

Which all the more bizarrre as to why these two well thought of members are affiliated with such an illiterate bunch like Youscoob.

I was going to avoid writing anything on this post as I see it as car snobbery and keyboard warriors. However,I keep seeing you all write about people at Youscoob meets street racing,I go to a lot of the Youscoob meets and have never seen this street racing you talk about. Also I dont see why you let what other people do to their cars bother you,its not your car so what does it matter?,we are all in it because of our love for cars.Anyway, thats my lot on this topic. From an illiterate chav.

Totally agree Adam, I have never seen any street racing either and I have been to many YouScoob events.

Also agree with your comments about literacy / grammar. Since when has that been a measure of a person's intelligence or character? Many eminent people have been dyslexic, eg Leonardo Da Vinci, Richard Branson, oh, and Jackie Stewart - didn't seem to affect his driving adversely did it?
I have observed some grammatical errors in some of your posts, KentSubarus and TurboAndy, but I choose not to mention it as I'm not that petty.

That's fine, KentSubarus, my only question is where were these core members a few years ago when the Tunnel Run was nearly dead, and if it hadn't been for myself, Jason Wong, and Wozzaa from ESC, along with the help of other clubs outside Essex, including TurboAndy (thank you Andy for your comment about hard work in the past, it's a shame it's come to this animosity now), there would have been no Tunnel Run?
And subsequently the Run was made into a success again with YouScoob, and the commitment and planning put in by their core members, including Ron with his attention to detail with route planning. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for all attenders if there were people who did not pay attention to the route and deviated from the plan, or indulged in any form of street racing ( which I am not aware of).
Hence the reason why Ron and I, and many others, have 'affiliated ' ourselves to YouScoob, as we have not experienced the negative aspects so liberally referred to in this thread, only positive aspects of car club membership, not based on discrimination or ridicule.

Just for the record I don't point out people's grammar, spelling etc. I do have very bad dyslexia so I'd be a huge hypocrite if I did.

All I'm pointing out is what I've experienced and other members. Yes you get idiots wherever you go but since Youscoob got involved there is a lot more. Coincidence? Who knows. It's maybe just they way the Impreza scene is heading now. I just find it a bit odd that so many of us have been banned from there FB page if they are such a fantastic bunch.

When I did my last tunnel run back in 2014 I had 2 cars nearly collided with mine just because they are trying to show off to there mates and everyone else. Its not snobbery but when they have painted there clapped out old classics with paint brushes, rollers and not one straight body pannel on there cars it's pretty clear they don't care much about there car and no one else's.
The other thing that was a huge turn off was the stench of weed in the air. Sorry but I don't want anything to do with there brain dead drugged up idiots.

Wasn't going to waste my time you such immature post, but others have so like a sheep I will jump on the bandwagon !
Firstly I would like to point out my amazing mind powers to get members to send me money for my car fund still haven't stopped I now have free road tax thanks dvla, free insurance and free mot all due to the power of the mind ! And all David Blaine can do is sit in a box for a week !
Then we come to the inner workings of the youScoob mafia ! That strike fear into thousands of people ! Am I doing well so far ?
So we shall move on .......Gary moulson you have never knowingly been banned from youScoob your request to Join was declined as you where told at the time. You did not at the time own a Subaru so would have been a participating member, you requested to join only to see what was being said about you over the insurance. And nothing was said I haven't said to you or wouldn't say to your face, but I guess you have the data protection act to stop you from commenting. I have no problem as before posting the emails from yourselves saying no mods were covered and the ombudsmans findings or the letter of apology from your legal team.
Insurance fraud very big words stu Ives I take it you have proof you can post to back it up ! Why you have piped up when you don't know me is beyond me just another bandwagogener I guess.
Then we come to the likes of Luke and kent subarus ! time don't want to waste much time so will breeze over a few points ....Luke you say you have been banned stalked and bullied and pics taken of your house ! I haven't seen you from before your last campaign ....if fake profiles are used how would I know how to stalk ! bullied lol haven't ever thought of you lot never mind bullied.and pics of your house I didn't know exactly what house you lived in but I take it that it's the one with all the CCTV and police backup poised to pounce on the youScoob mafia before we take over the world.
I thought it was ok to take pics outside your house not showing it as your family had done with the pic below.
I can post the pm's we had of you wishing to leave youScoob and me wishing you all the best. Your mother left youScoob on her own account I can post the pm's for that to. Then I have your dad mouthing off and he was told that he's not the sort of person that youScoob wants in the club so yes I banned him.
Below are the pics you and your family took and posted on your previous hate campaign. There is also the map of how I found it was you as location services were left on the phone. The attack before became very personal attacks on my son and his girlfriend that's why the youScoob mafia had had enough, because it was no more about just cars. The fact I didn't tell some angry people where you lived ,and your family was given a chance to come forward and explain ....the response was I was a **** ! Pmsl
The thing here is childish jealousy and your all guilty is it any wonder you are the minority.
I think the mafia has been so patient how you haven't woke up with horses head on your pillow I will never know ?
On closing anyone else that has been banned from youScoob it will be only for breaking club rules yes we have rules ....well one really just be decent and courteous to other members and respect we all have different tastes in how our own cars are done ! so if your out it's your own silly mouth that caused it !
Anyway far to much time here I'm off for a cup o tea and slice o cake.
I will also copy and paste this to my wall would hate to think it got deleted I even used some punctuation !

Why do sensible people use Facebook?? There are enough idiots in the world without choosing to interact with more.
It just reads like a chavy version of jezza Kyle.

Could someone break this down.....My eyes!

Since when does the truth get in the way of traditional tongue in cheek Scoobynet banter
