Plantie,

Can you supply P-Zero 205 45 17, which I hope is the correct size for a standard RB5 wheel.

Leon advertising is forbidden unless you pay to advertise.... beware mods will get you.

Just to re-iterate guys.... Jon is happy to supply or just use the prices to get others down!! He is a motorsports fan and understands the enthusiasts!

Also call him if you get a better price.... if he lets me know there are alterations I will put em up.

ww... good choice for your requirements would be Goodyear F1 or Bridgestone S0-3 if you drive aggressive. If you dont the Uniroyal or Dunlop are ok.

BTTT. Why can't this thread be a sticky thread or dated 2006 so it always stays at the top? Mods please?

This info is too important to lose, just spent 20 mins trying to find it.

Cheers

WB

For anyone interested:-
225-40-18 - £111.00 - Goodyear F1 GSD03 (new style)
INCLUDING VAT - FITTED & BALANCED...........
Quoted from Hi Q dealer Network (Good Years own network of independant dealers). I ordered them. It works out cheaper than any other quote I have had - only downfall is that Good Year themselves are out of stock until April.

Decided on my next tyre. SO3s are crap, so thought I'd try the Goodyear F1 GDS3.

Phoned these guys yesterday and thought I got a good quote. 4 (215/40/17) were £79.50 each plus vat, plus fitting. Not bad I thought around £400, but they didn't have them in stock Phoned Pro-tyre and they said £403.68 all in and did have them in stock.

Dealers (Tileys of Bristol phoned me) as car was in for a service. They mentioned the tyres and said could they quote. I laughed and said "go on then" as I thought they'd be well expensive. Told them about the other quotes and Tileys said they'll do them for £380 all in I was shocked to say the least.

Thanks Phill

Phil, thats good mate....

Might be worth phoning up John again and letting him know that... he will only make them cheaper.... if he can...

But none- the less thats what this thread is all about.... uses the prices to get even cheaper quotes!

Just booked myself in for all for corners this coming weekend at Hi-Q Mr Tyre Ltd, Mansfield (01623 429429).

They are fitting 4x Goodyear Eagle F1 225 45 ZR17 @ £105 per corner onto MY01 sti v7.

That price includes fitting, balancing, valves and VAT.

I was offered a price beating £104/per corner from Formula One AutoCentres on the same street, but they only had them on back-order.
