Yeah, it's probably overkill for what power I'm gonna run but I don't think they do a smaller size.

Bonnet, doors and front wings almost complete. Note the front wings have also been prepped and painted on the inside, hopfully this will aid in keeping rot away for many years.

Very expensive but worthwhile, brand new OE clips for room trims.

You must be getting 'excited' now - now that you see it coming together.

Yes mate, there's not really much more to do. Really need to get under bonnet sorted as it's terrible.

Little addition for when it's out, as old one is a bit rough.

Nope, even though I've now got a spare set up. It's staying just as it is.

Unless a spec c one pops up.

Haha, see you're already thinking.
Why, do you want shorter 5th and 6th gears?

I've bought a Hawk STI set up for my green car, so my JDM 6 speed set up is kinda spare at the moment.

If I do ever go 6 speed, it will have to be short ratios and DCCD.

Ah I see, you want Dccd otherwise your jdm box is no different.
Yes Dccd needs to be kept in a Dccd equipped car otherwise it's not a type r then

Exactly my thinking, slight mods/improvements but in keeping with Type R ethos.

Can't see me needing all that extra weight of a six speed anyway, I really don't plan on exceeding 330 with this car.

I thought that about the weight, but on a positive note, it actually gives a better center of gravity on a already lightish car, seems to stabilise it some what.
So just think of it that way when it's skipping all the time

All bolts under bonnet are going to be replaced when I've got it back home..

First few of my Samco hoses have arrived, special order dark grey ones. (Have taken about 6 weeks) starting to collect some nice bits for stage 2 of this project - under bonnet

So turbo inlet, and top and bottom rad hoses

New trims for side skirts have arrived, the ones on it weren't 100%

Repainted horns and rad brackets fitted

And new clips fitted to grill, we're not doing cable ties on this one

The front of the car started to go together today. I decided after much thought to update the headlights with crystal items
