Do you have a good picture of the damage and fires ?

If only some blundering idiot hadn't left the fire alarm in test mode the building might have been saved , think of all those cia files that were lost , thankfully no lives taken in that building
If you read all of that link, you will have your answer. It can wait until the Windsors have been exposed as reptilian overlords, though

Indeed, but also the Fairy I was referring to wasn't a 'he' but a 'He', not a plain he.
See what I did there? He he he.

As for the Better things to do? Remark.
Since your the one with 40 odd thousand posts I did find that somewhat humorous

Ps: hope the bill ain't too big!

My #320 consists of some joshing comments on almost every post on this thread; including your #319, but it definitely wasn't a response to any of your questions. I wouldn't take it that personally, man.

Yes, bill was big but the job was well done on the car, so no regrets.

That's not always the case though, is it?

always worth a watch on threads like these

Michael Shermer - Editor of the Skeptics magazine giving a TED talk on why people believe weird things

the great line is "science counts the hits and the misses"

i.e. you can't cherrypick in science - you will always get found out eventually

The sun is 400 times the size of the moon and it's nothing remarkable that the distances apart make them appear exactly the same size .

Depending on the time of the month

Aaand we see things because of light reflecting of things and then going into our eyes so , since the light from the sun takes 8mins to hit something , are we seeing things from 8 minutes ago

I'm thinking I should re evaluate how I cross the road

Indeed it is, but you could accurately claim to talk to the dead without contravening any scientific conventions. As long as no one asked what they said in reply!

I remember hearing that as a kid ,

It's actually a serious question about how we see in time and not 8 mins behind , I'll have to Google it.

The question about temp in summer / winter was a bit of a trick , most people I think ,think it's because we are closer to the sun in summer but actually the opposite is true , we are something like 9 million miles further away in summer , it actually has to do with angles (allegedly ) although is the sun not directly above us at midday in the middle of summer ?So that would be the reason why lol

Now , considering it is warmer because the suns rays hit us more directly during summer and the 9million kms closer in winter doesn't make up for that , why is it warmer if you travel just a few hundred miles south ?

"See in time"? It's to do with the distance you are from the object you're looking at!

It makes sense I knew it would .

I remember thinking as a kid if you could travel faster than the speed of light you would be able to see things from the past , I still believe that's true
