So out of interest I got the car weighed yesterday. 1480KG (+-10kg) with the fuel light on and without me in it.
So with a 20 Litre Jerry Can of fuel in it and me weighing 130kg the car weighs around 1630KG. (approx 3600lbs)
My GC8 weighed 1231 without me and that managed 10.90 with 430whp.
My real target is to beat that with a 10.89 or quicker which I haven't done yet. There will be more visits to the strip until that's achieved.
Given the 10.97 i did its easily doable I just have to get my **** together and drive it better.

Yeah Mine's a full weight Australian Market car. Still has aircon and carpets etc.
There's loads of weight to come out not least from me as Shaun mentions but I want to see what it's capable of in full road trim form. I even kept the matts and spare wheel in for the 10.9 run lol.
I think I'm going to drop the tyres to 20psi and take the rear wing off and see what different that makes. Like I said I just want that 10.80 if I can get it.

Just a bit of an update on this.
I moved back to the UK last week from Western Australia.
The car is currently on its way here and should arrive in a few weeks.
Can't bloody wait for it arrive either.
I had the car remapped prior to its journey. I needed to do this because the car was permanently ran on E85 as it was available at the pump at 70p a litre.
I've now had it remapped to run Vpower for when it arrives
on E85 at 2 bar it managed 605HP at the wheels.
on Vpower at 1.7bar it makes 507hp at the wheels.

It'll never do a sub 10 of that I'm certain. It won't see much more gain from race fuel over what it had on E85.
The only way I'm going to get that time down is to remove weight from it now. I'm not to keen on that though as I fully intend for it to remain a daily driver.

So it was the drag season opener at York Yesterday
I've never ran the car down the strip on just V Power so that was first. I did two runs 11.72 @ 122mph and 11.69 @ 122mph so fairly consistent. This was at 21 psi of boost and around 507 HP at the wheels.
Then I swapped fuel to E85 which is 2bar and around 605 HP at the wheels. First run was 11.0 at 134mph.
Managed a couple of runs both at 11.1
Then on my final run as I was low on E85 (20 litres got me four runs) I managed a 10.96 at 135mph.
In car footage of the 10.9 run.
Race Face on.
The car also managed a 0-60mph @ 3.2 seconds.
I was 2nd fastest overall yesterday being beaten by a fully stripped out evo Running 10.5.
Couple of points to note. This particular drag strip isn't the best of surfaces so I'm convinced there's a little more to be had from the car. My 60ft's were 2 tenths down on the 10.9 I did on a proper drag strip with the car in Australia so there's more time to be had there.
I'm convinced there's a 10.5 in the car but certainly not much more than that.
Hopefully I'll get the car down to the Pod at some point ans see how it fairs there.
But overall I'm really happy considering I drove the 40 mile journey home afterwards.
Back to back tens on opposite sides of the planet. Pretty cool
