Might change it for something not so in ya face! Maybe a Nur Spec. That Kakimoto is nice though!
I was contemplating taking all of the carbon off as I am still not sure if its my thing or not, so Ill keep you in mind if I decide to change.
Still waiting to hear from Martyn. I think that its skipped a tooth from what I have been reading.
Terrible fuel consumption, bad idle and rough running. He did say that it certainly was NOT mapped by JGM as there are way too many mistakes made in the map!
Good news is Martyn seems to think the engine is OK.
Anxious times!

Small update.
Engine is fine, timing is fine, but MAF is knackered, orange MAF costs £300 new!
But I have gone down the route of upgrading to a MAFless AlcaTek ECU. As I do have plans for this car, rather than just putting a new MAF on, I am killing two birds with one stone by getting the AlcaTek for future upgrades.
Will be listing the Apexi Power FC for sale when I get the car back.
However, the gearbox is quite noisy, so I will be looking at doing a 6 speed DCCD conversion in the near future.
No movement on the court proceedings, but its early days.

Shame there are people out there that are willing to put some elses safety at risk to make a sale. Hope you get it all sorted.
Pretty sure you do have legal ground, a car sold even buy a private seller must match the description given, and also be roadworthy (unless sold as spares or repair) and i'd definitely say a cracked spoke makes it not roadworthy!
From the AA - "the car must be roadworthy - it is a criminal offence to sell an unroadworthy car and an MOT certificate from a test several months ago is no guarantee that the car is roadworthy today"

But generally for box swap alone I'd say around £150ish labour depends on who you know etc.
I'm assuming that box comes with all associated parts like linkage, diff, prop at £1500?
All I needed was rear diff to match box, propshaft, front hub shaft conversion to keep current front shafts on, my rear shafts are already bigger ones as it had a r180 diff stock but just wrong ratio.

he's posted it in https://www.facebook.com/groups/suba...sions/?fref=nf , https://www.facebook.com/groups/3109...59592/?fref=nf & https://www.facebook.com/groups/subaruswapshop/?fref=nf and quite a few other groups, however because he's blocked you it'll mean that you can't see it.
He tried joining one of my pages but I blocked his request.

lol, this guy is a real card isn't he!
But to add more weight to my court case, just had Martyn from Engine Tuner on the phone letting me know that the headers are Japspeed rubbish as opposed to RCM headers which were advertised as being on the car.
So I have asked him to remove the Japspeed crap and install GT Spec headers. Another outlay which I was not expecting!

Sorry to read about all the problems you have had, breaks your heart when you realise the pride and joy you have just purchased isn't quite what you were expecting.
I bought a £12k 33Gtr last November, started stalling on the way home, fluctuating idle, changing gear was tricky, engaging 1st was a nightmare, then the next day started misfiring, overfueling etc.
I guess I was lucky though as the guy I purchased it from has been brilliant, he fixed the gearbox for me, sorted all other issues out too.
Then started missing and overfueling and stalling again so he organised a low loader to pick it up, took it back to his and fixed it again (dodgy ecu, dodgy lambdas)
Been a 5month ordeal but the seller stuck to his word and has been pretty cool.

The car looked great in the original 'for sale' thread, so once you've got the problems sorted, you'll have yourself a stunning Type R. With a white scoop and spoiler, it would be perfect!
