In the 16 years I have been around Scoobies and ScoobyNet I have seen some ****e service and some really bad ****e apologists.

The way they treated this guys car was definitely ****e.

Other companies who acted that way over the year have gone under. That is not always a bad thing, for the true enthusiast.

So you are happy to take a thread off track and boost your post count with pointless popcorn replies?

Utter disbelief how a proposed "reputable" enthusiasts garage would treat a fellow enthusiasts pride and joy when left in their care.
I don't own a scooby now, even if a free of charge service was offered there would be no way I'd leave my gtr in their care, it means to much to me to risk it. I'm sorry but you would need your head reading to risk otherwise.

There's now two subaru "specialists" (I use the term specialist loosely) that I won't be using thanks to this thread. I normally love a good bun fight but this is turning into one of those girly fights. Too much scratching and hair pulling going on. Lock it up and let them go about their business. They've missed the opportunity of damage limitation via the Internet "community"

Are owners not allowed to stay with the cars when work is undertaken at scoobyclinic as you can at cams?? As this would defo bring some kind of trust back?? As the cars would be in sight and if there is more work than quoted or something wrong that's worse they can see for themselves and honesty& trust could be built back up??

why would you worry about bringing trust back for Scooby clinic, after this situation I would not even go back there at all.

I'm far from worried bud just a thought as I've always had such high expectations off such company I honestly had plans to go for the 450bhp mark for my car and such specialists would be the first people to go to for advice etc maybe if only the main men took over hands on it would be a better and safer place to go to I know when trust is lost its never gna b easy but is there really no way SC can bounce back in an effective way?

The owner of the car was on site when the incident happened as he had travelled from Essex - so that didnt stop them!

Scoobyclinic always have 'scooby saturday' where anyone can go along for a chat/advice and have a look around their workshops and have a butty/bap/sarnie/barmcake/orwhatevertheyarecalledinyourarea

One mans actions do not make the work by the rest of the workforce rubbish

Is Pat a crap mapper now because one of his colleagues didn't treat a customers car right?

Just imagine that 'you' work at the clinic, you have worked there for years, always work hard and very conscientious. Now, one of your workmates drives a customers car like seen in the clip. Would you be happy to be called an idiot and people saying they hope you lose your job?

Yes, one person can ruin a companies reputation, but it doesn't mean the rest of the employees turn to rubbish

^^^ Completely agree BoozyDave. Well summed up.

One mans actions SHOULDN'T ruin the reputation of a company if they are delt with my management/owner correctly after the event. However, in this case things went very wrong very quickly.

In general, the subaru community is quite a small one and as Alan Jeffery said earlier, all the traders deal with and talk to each other all the time anyhow. They are all here for OUR benefit and certainly I wouldn't like to see more of these companies slowly fade away. I hope they sort things out for our benefit.

No doubt as Subaru is releasing less exciting cars onto the UK car market and trends are changing the market for modifying & supporting these cars will slowly dry up and some of these traders will no doubt have to move onto other things. (Like Litchfield moving onto GTRs now). Until then I count myself very fortunate that so many specialists are here to help us out and give advice whenever we need it.
