"Some ********* bad workmanship".

How very professional. By all means, have examples of 'bad workmanship', but using language like that makes the website look VERY unprofessional and slightly immature IMO.

Can't believe this stale thread has been allowed to go on so long.... yet when I posted about robberham scoob destroying my car, and other people started adding their experiences it got pulled!

As long as the thread remains civil and fairly on-topic (which some members clearly struggle to adhere to), there's no reason for this to be deleted/locked.

And last I heard, the 'mechanic' involved for driving the car through the potholes has not been suspended/sacked/resigned. But that's just a rumour that's circulating on varied social media sites.

The only thing that has ever been stated officially from Kev is that he offered his resignation

I would find it very unlikely for it to have been accepted

Does it actually matter? If we look at it rationally for a second has he really done anything worthy of dismissal/letting go?

You forgot to add flame suit on, and you're forgetting the affront that has been caused is akin to winston smashing your Mrs back door in with his foot long dong.

He should be publicly flogged, oh wait.

It depends on the employer

If I did something this reckless in my profession I would be fired / lose the customer (self employed) etc etc

Bringing the company into disrepute?
Gross misconduct?
Gross negligance?

Not saying he has or hasn't, but it's certainly not the behaviour of a model employee is it.

33 pages why the individual should go. Can you imagine if this had hit a TV programme? I bet the employee would have gone faster than a Catholic bishop in a boys school.

33 pages ? No one died seems a bit over dramatic , in my experience main dealers have been ripping off customers for years on a scale that makes it a massive fraud but over apothole the internet goes mad ? I hear stories every week of absolute fraud perpetuated by main dealers but it doesn't get mentione online , as yet the oy harm I have seen here is the customer getting a free bumper repair.

My old local dealers put my shocks on upside down on the passenger side

The bigger issue is how many cars as this pilot driven like that down that road and got away with it

Lets be honest he has only been found out and caught because of a dash cam. I bet you any money they will check for dash cams now as a priority

This is not a one off I bet

any company worth it's salt would put a high value on how it is seen by it's customers and the wider public. Based upon that video, Scooby Clinic certainly should have the grounds to sack their employee, wether they will or not must be a reflection of the culture present there. Clearly for this to happen it's lacked a firm hand thus far.
Past and present customers will decide what next but for a lot the reputation is shattered.

Yeh,if Ben has had enough of it now and is prepared to move on from this then let's all do the same.
Like busta says,it's all just repeating what's been said anyway.

Is this the same bloke who said he didn't want to say too much, then sold the story to the Daily Mail?

They won't need to check, there WILL be one fitted, I have heard kev is putting a dashcam in each car when they go on a test drive

1 - he can check the footage and ensure staff treat cars well, and
B - if someone says their car was mistreated or damaged, he can watch/supply the owner the footage
