Looks like one of our traders does not take care of our cars when test driving!
[QUOTE=Gambit;11786441]can we call you a SC - non fanboy seeing as your last post prior was 2010?
I sold my old scooby not long after that "last post in 2010" and it pained me very much to do so and while I was driving a Golf tdi I couldn't bare to keep logging in and torturing myself so I deleted my bookmark for this forum and forgot my password, I have since bought a new Subaru, reset my password, been to SC,got shafted good and proper by them and threatened with legal action for slander if I complained to anyone, saw this thread and thought sod it I'll say my bit. I'm more of a reader than a writer hence the lack of posts.
That do you Gambit??

I took my car there a few months ago with an ABS issue and after 2 visits and them having the car for 4 days in total I ended up with the car no better off,3/4 tank of V-power missing but only 53 miles on trip computer, mpg down from 29.1 to 23.7,a flat tyre that apparently wouldn't inflate so had to purchase a wheel with a tyre that they fitted in the wrong direction for £90 and told me that my lower arm bushes were shot to pieces and would need replacing asap. Little did they know that the bushes were only 2 months old. Then I start to notice my turbo smoking...funny the narcissistic plank on the front desk was suggesting I upgrade my turbo to one of their sc45 units or something like that!! They're cowboys. I would never recommend them after that never mind after seeing this! Anybody who considers taking their pride & joy to that joke of an establishment after this seriously needs their head looking at!!!
Safe to say my local Subaru dealer sorted the ABS issue within 4 hours.

Its not stupid at all, I know of two other people that spent thousands at Scooby clinc and were told the same (legal action for slander etc), you obviously have no issue with other people being ripped off.
How would you feel if it happened to you?
People should know what Scooby Clinic are really all about.

Talking of being "screwed over" the next time I fall out with BT I'm hoping you'll all pile in behind me as well..

Isn't it amusing someone who spells practice as practise accuses someone else of learning to write? Another illiterate newbie to the fold, which was what I was referencing in my earlier post.
I definitely don't think this thread is getting stupid - it may seem like it is getting stupid by those trying to justify Kevs actions and sidetrack the focus - but for most, this is fully observed and recognised, and the thread can continue showing the actions of this so called business and hopefully seeing a good outcome for the customer that was abused. Interesting how those thinking it is stupid have been supporters of the actions?
Have we had a further follow up Kev? Good question - I would be interested to hear definitely.

No particular reason, we've done fine with them in the past, we've just been using other turbos!
I did have a Perrin hose turn up today, is that ok with you?

Blymey some folk really can't help them selfs, coming across like wally's.
Old posters back again to post as much as possible to heal their need.
posting constant drivel, what's this actually achieveing? Apart from making your selfs look silly.
Ive Said from the off when I saw the vid, totally out of order, and yes kev was also a bit rude and cheeky in his response which I'm actually shocked by, I do like kev he is a decent chap, but he really needs to come back with something to repair what's been done.
(But I won't repeat myself every other post).

I am sure there are issues on both sides - Kev was probably (still is) pi55ed off that a video was shown AROUND the WORLD of an employee who did not seem to hold a customer car in high regard. I doubt very much the video was shown direct to Kev - he would have done something about it - that I am pretty sure.
When I do next need to get my car looked at - it will be at SC.
As others have mentioned about prices - prices or not, I have had great service from them - every time - you pays for what you get.
If you have a problem with SC - speak to Kev, not a mechanic or a driver. Be calm and sensible, people make mistakes and as long as you're not going in like a bull, Kev will sort it out.

'3. The footage was not seen by SC prior to public release? When I returned and complained about the loose bumper and what I had seen on my camera obviously Dans ( employee ) first thought was to ask to see the footage.
I obliged and showed him from the device itself, the screen is very small and no audio is played back so the evidence was not as damning as the true content, however enough was evident for me to see the car was driven irresponsibly over the road.
When I asked if he thought it was accecptable he replied 'I drive my car down there that fast everyday'.
I reminded him this isn't his own car but a customers pride and joy before repeating the question, is this acceptable driving? He shrugged his shoulders and remained silent.
I then suggested I should post on the club forums and perhaps they can decide? This is when I was threatened with legal action as I haven't recieved permission to record them.
So despite the claims a member of SC has actually seen the footage first person on site. Let's be logical. If I return claiming damage has been caused with video evidence and you are doubtful of my claims, surely you'd first ask to see the footage before even entertaining me???'
The big man had all the opportunity in the world to see the footage and discuss the situation further with the owner - but this is the big fact of the matter that has annoyed the good people on all the forums - He didn't , he threatened 'legal' action (which transpired that this has been a tactic they have used before) and basically told him to p**s off.
Thats where the annoyance comes from by motoring enthusiasts .Ben had every right to 'go in like a bull' - even though from his version of events, he did not, and throughout this scenario, I think I know who has come off more trustworthy to believe.
Definitely make this one a sticky!
..and for the quality post about the ordeal Ben had with Scooby Clinic, definitely a supportive community with the newbies. Good times on Scoobynet.
Despite the fact that I think you're a bully, a troll, and a monumental bellend, I am genuinely sorry about this and you have my utmost sympathy.
I would never normally be so immature as to mention somebody's mother on a forum. On this occasion, I did so in response to your disgraceful, lowlife insinuation, based solely on my username (which I chose after the UFC fighter, Ian McCall, just for the record.) It's not the first time you've done it, and it's not the type of thing you should joke about... ever! Even you should know better.
Not once did I call Ben a liar pre video release, as many did - I actually implied my support - and I have praised his handling of the situation post video release.
Now, how about we leave it there!?

So yes, please do leave it there, and lets hope the thread can continue as it was originally intended
Such an unfortunate person, yes I do suggest you should leave it there, as for one you began the insults on this thread, and have now continued to represent yourself pretty terribly as you do with most posts when you direct your anger at life at other people and then look for approval from the long term users - I appreciate you need to look up to your heroes, and it is funny most of the time, yet this time, you tripped up on your own toes.
So yes, please do leave it there, and lets hope the thread can continue as it was originally intended

I agree with Trinity's opening post, as do others, it was straight to the point. It was also a post trying to get the thread back on track then along came along Scoobynet's new double act trying to derail it again.
A thread clean rather than a thread lock, there is still no real valid reason to lock it.
