Just a small update from owning her for the last couple of months.
It's s funny thing because I have more love for this than I did for my 45 and I don't know why, most smaller it's more cramped it's not as fast but it just has something MM...
Anyway cons first
Small let's not dwell you do have to move the seats for adults however 4 will fit easily, but I wouldn't wanna go 250 miles in the back of one.
Heated seats in my view are too,hot burn my **** on 3 I can only use 1 or 2
Stereo sounds better than the 45 harmon however the interface isn't as easy to get to your USB key but it does work with all sizes.
Traction on front wheels is crap, ok I've had 4wd for 7 years but perelli 17s are like bars of soap, but I suppose with the turbo coming in at 1250 it doesn't help things.....
Pros.
Stereo sounds awesome, 2 subs under seats
Google maps projects sound over BT from phone to announce directions from phone, co pilot doesn't
Takes all USB keys any sizes
Has fun apps like torque and LBs and fancy graphs for race boys
Love the mag suspension or adaptive k new 45 has these now.
Doesn't cost much a month the 45 was nice but that 500+ a month after the honeymoon period is over is just a killer and knowing you have to then pay 17k doesn't cut it for me, there is one car I'd do that for and its the Gt4.
It drives like on rails once it's moving and gets over traction issues, bet the 4wd 300 will be fun.
Over all yes I miss the 45 but only sometimes what I don't miss are the **** people who try race you I've now dropped down into the realms of focus ST and Audi 3l diesel racers, and as of yet not been beaten lol.....
Fun thing if your looking for the best pocket rocket it's where my money went I don't see many other good ones fiesta is nice but it's ford....
I,ll now wait and see what this 500bhp 308R from Peugeot is like or save for a porker

Its thunder grey with chilli and media XL packs, heads up display and heated seats.
The car was already built so I had no choice in it lol. If factory ordering I would have probably gone for the HK upgrade.
I wouldnt have ordered the heads up but having now used it find it really usefull, plus I get gear change lights lol.
Tried an auto which was very good but pleased I went manual now Ive got it.
I drove a JCW paceman first and it was terrible, nearly put me off - the hatch is in a different league.
I felt the car was quite understeery at first but found you just have to keep your foot down and trust it.
Powerwise again it takes some getting used to - it makes so much torque from so low down there is little point in letting it rev - almost diesel like. But however you drive its suprisingly quick, not so much off the mark but the in gear pull is very addictive!

yeah thats what makes it fun, i find i wheel spin in any damp conditions, it just goes.
not hat i race anybody but by the time they have wound up there cars I'm away for them to claw it back LOL.
I got Manual too, like the Rev Matching it does in Sport mode, i thought it was broke at first.
I spoke to Manic Mini and just waiting on their SPS box that lifts it to near 300BHP
Same engine thats in 428I. Auto is LTD to 285 due to limiters on gearbox, but manual can go to 310 320...

No the ST is going well just waiting for the RS to turn up but this was a thread about Mini's so I was just asking what the Lohen tuners were like as my daughter wants one.

Manic Mini are the best Norman, so Lohen are resellers so yes. I want the SPS switching box and not a proper map due to warranty but I'm tempted as Celtic tuning can get me to 295bhp....
Have u got the cosworth ordered then ?

Just bought another Mini, wife's people carrier needed changing as kids have all gone now bar 1 so it was overkill. So after much deliberation I got a near on fully loaded Mini Clubman
Full JCW pack includes Chilli pack
Melting silver
Black roof and stripes
19inch JCW alloys which means I can't have active dampers cos wheels are too big
Lots of internal stuff
Full black leather
Pano roof
hEad up display
Went for 2.0L copper S model as its current top one, all4 and JCW and 300 BHP coming soon but couldn't wait.....
Did look at VAG first but the speight of thefts around the uk of any skoda Golf and Audi put me off, had loads near me breaking into houses to nick keys not something I want

I have a question for you - I'm convinced that my JCW is quicker in mid mode, sure sport mode has great throttle response and low down grunt but I find the power tails off at 5k whereas in mid mode it pulls strongly and progressively all the way to the red line.
