I didn`t mean it that way at all, sorry if it sounded like that; just thought you would have seen the thread title was about JDM cars, and yours could have been one because people modify just about anything; it`s very hard to tell from a couple of pics. Did you forge it then ?

Grade r car so you'd have to find out why if that bothers you?

I`m happy to buy an R if it was just a panel repair; if there is chassis damage that`s another matter, but I`ve got confidence in the guys who check it over prior to auction . This one has too many mods for me; exhaust, coilovers etc. R grade can mean a little work, or a lot, has been done, but if the price is right...., and it has been checked over, that`s fine. The yellow one starts at £16 500 (UK landed) as it is a rare colour and modded.
On the other hand, the JPP white one has had new, wing, bonnet and bumper, so wasn`t even an R when imported, and looks fine now.

If it's something minor it wouldn't bother me either, go with your gut at he end of the day and buy one you are happy with

Yeah, I didn`t think I would like the yellow, but I was quite taken, I admit. Not many Subaru`s that colour......not very stealthy either!! I always secretly liked those 1st banana yellow TT`s and Corrado`s, just the colour, mind.

anyone have a rough idea how much a JDM hatch would be to import/buy here?

Obviously it depends on kms and condition, but I would guess that you could get a 4b grade 60 000 miler for about £ 13 000, bit less, bit more, UK registered price through a good agent... so it would be a fair bit less to do it yourself, but you wouldn`t get someone checking it out for you, pre auction, you would be responsible for insurance as soon as you bought it, and you would have to handle pick up, import and tax duties, and iva compliance this end. Torque Gt, who I am using, also do an underseal (inc), and are installing UK alarm for extra cost. They have full workshop facilities.
A yellow spec C, 13000 miles, grade 4a went for just over £ 20 000 , UK registered, this morning.
For a bit more, there have been a few R205`s in the last 2 weeks

Not sure about red with yellow? That`s why I was asking about the smoked overlays, SK. I`m just going to hold off on them til it arrives. I had my heart set on any colour but yellow, but there you go ! I`ll always be able to see it in a big car park!

Awesome work Hedgecutter!

I wouldn't worry too much until its landed as once you get it you'll prob spend the first weekend detailing and cleaning and then you'll know what it really looks like.

Currently going through the same procedure myself and already really jealous.

Sent you a PM
