Guys, does anyone have a suggestion for a place to meet?

Ideal place would have a big car park and be easy to find - I can think of Fromebridge Mill (2 mins from J13 of the M5) - id Al though car park is a bit bumpy and potholed so may mess with any low cars.

 

Hey all, it seems we have a couple of people living in the Gloucester(shire) area but we've never met up or spoken so propose we look to change that.

I'm happy to try to coordinate something but we need to work out a list of names of who might be interested?

Is there an easy way to find these people (perhaps a report from the mods of people in the area or something similar) or do we need to post it in the forum and hope that word gets around? Perhaps if people would be prepared to email friends that might work?

What about the racecourse at Cheltenham? Or even something like St Oswalds retail park in Gloucester (theres a pub and food places there for those who may want to sut down for a bit?)

That certainly is the aim of this thread. For the first meet we are looking to potentially have a joint meet with Bristol & Bath Scoobies so somewhere in the "middle" and easy to find would be ideal. Know anywhere around Dursley way?

 

What if you met up at Micheal Woods service station on the M5 ?

 

Would be nice to have a pub venue if we can so we can have a nice glass of pimms while we talk subarus lol

The Michaelwood services are an option....but agree would be good to have a pub or something to park up.

Will see about a pub near Dursley or Thornbury way. If not what about Quedgeley way?

 

Or Frampton....theres a big green there.

I'm not sure if the 2nd August (proposed earlier in the thread) is going ahead but I may not be able to do that one as car may not be back until week after.

If not what about Saturday 15th August or Saturday/Sunday 22/23 August?

 

we have set it I thought lol , bbs are going for the 2nd as it falls on our normal meet day as we do the first Sunday of the month for all our meets as the members seem to like it

 

Let's stick with the 2nd for the first meet and if all goes well we can return the favour in September by travelling down to BBS.

Venue and time looks good so stick me down as a provisional for the moment until I know whats happening with both the Car and not being away as planned that weekend.

Great call on the Haywain Richie as the Tesco car park is just metres away so loads of space. Seems like a decent place as well.
