Yeh i've looked at the squad, the same squad that LVG has spent £250m on.
He's had far more money made available to him than David Moyes had so he's bound to do better than Moyes but given what LVG has spent on the squad it's doing nowhere near good enough for the money that he's blown, and yeh blown is probably the right term for his overall spending.
Apart from Martial and Shaw, his other signings including Blind, Rojo, Darmian, Memphis, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Valdes, Romero, Falcao, Di Maria and Herrera have failed to set the place alight, even Memphis has been inconsistent, he's either very good or far too often very poor. The majority of those names above are nowhere near Manchester United standard and that's the problem, his spending hasn't been good, his judgement on signings has been poor overall.
Personally i wouldn't give him another penny to blow, his style of football is dull and doesn't suit Manchester United, as a person he's very dull and uninspiring. He's a dictator, it's his way or now way which is one of the reasons why he's upset so many top named players throughout his career.
I said before we signed him that he's a poor fit for United and his previous recent record as a manager wasn't very good, getting sacked seemed to be the norm with him in recent times.
I don't think Mourhino would be a good fit for United, his dull safety first football wouldn't be suited to a club like Manchester United. We need an attack minded manager whose a proven world class manager and not one that's past his sell by date like LVG.

it seems there is a "manager merry go round"
a relativity small cabal of managers that go from Barca to Real to BM to Man U to Chelsea to Man ****ty - ad nauseam

Were this lot out on the lash last night? No desire, urgency or effort at all other than rooney. Mata, Blind and Herrera worst of the bunch. Wasted 2hrs of my boxing day watching that crap. Bookies had it spot on offering 7-1 for a Utd win. We will be finishing below Chelsea at this rate.

Cya Louis, i'd like to say it's been nice having you around and i've enjoyed the football but that isn't the case.
I'm going to go a bit left field here, appoint Sir Alex until the end of the season with Ryan Giggs as his number 2, that's if they could persuade Sir Alex to take the job on a short term basis. The club needs a lift, the fans need a lift and the players need a kick up the backside, Fergie would certainly do that.
That would give United the chance to work on trying to get Pep Guardiola behind the scenes.

Good shout, but fergie would give them such a kicking he probably wouldn't be able to field a team! I was all for keeping lvg till the end of the season, but this is getting painful. I don't think fergie would put his name to this team for any money. Confidence is so low amongst the players he's got to go to try and give them a lift.

Doesn't sound a bad idea that. Or just let Giggs take over till Pep Guardiola comes in.

Yawn. Not a bitter city fan by any chance? So, only those who go to the matches have a right to pass fair/informed comment? van Gaal is there every match, pitch side, and no one appears to listen to him. I've supported Utd since I can remember but never had enough pennies to ever go and see them - growing up in a relatively poor family in west Cumbria it was not an option. I did manage a Man Utd franchise for a short while in the mid-90's, does that make me any more qualified to pass comment? Arm chair fan and proud.

Yes i've been to Old Trafford and watched home games, but don't have the time to go see every game. Whats that got to do with anything?
I thought man u played bad till i watch Arsenal game, they were lucky it wasn't 7-0. 2 goals disallowed, more fun to watch when its not your own team lol

^You have issues, look at your silly user name and you're pathetic location, grow up and find somewhere else to play games

Gotta have some hope we continue with an expansive game today, those Swans like playing against us so we have to be on it again, not just up for the "big" teams.
Interesting to see Keane has been recalled from loan at PNE, wonder if he'll make the bench....

If they don't get 3pts today against Swansea i'll be amazed as they have been really poor this season hence their league position, i'm not sure a win today is a good thing anyway as that just means that LVG will be here longer, the sooner that him and his philisophy sod off the better.

I'll be optimistic and go for 3 - 1 to United, mainly because Swansea are really poor.

Well last nights game was quite poor, i fell asleep watching it. Luckily woke up to see Rooneys goal. Seems to work better with 2 up front, De gea won the game for United though.
Anyone heard about rumours of Madrid offering Ronaldo up for 100m but they what De gea?

Another dire uninspiring performance yesterday.
Giggsy celebrating Rooney's goal was the highlight of the game for me.
As for LVG's post match comments about winning the league, someone needs to take a sample of his urine to see what f*cking drugs he's on !!

It's even better when you play $hite and beat them
I just hope we can string some wins together and move up the table, what will be will be with LVG that's for the future, lets just hope we keep winning and try and play some decent football along the way

Yeh it's always great to beat Liverpool but it's just papering over the cracks, one shot on target in 90 mins against an average at best Liverpool team is poor by anyone's standards never mind Manchester United standards.
I also found that funny when LVG still thinks that this United team is capable of winning the title, after a statement like that they should start drug testing managers never mind players

Their isn't one reason worth keeping him for a day longer, to have any chance of finishing in the top 4 United needed to spend money in January on at least a couple of quality players. Would you give a manager a penny more that has already blew £250m on players and made the team arguably worse than before he spent the money ?
In the last 2 games, in 180 mins of football United have only had 2 shots on target, who is responsible for the style of play and motivating the players ?
Personally i think he's out of touch with modern football, these tactics may have worked in his hay day around 15 - 20 years ago, they certainly don't work in the premier league. The last 2 big clubs that he coached, he was either sacked or resigned from both jobs.
What harm could it do to put Ryan Giggs in charge for the rest of the season with maybe some help from Sir Alex or a similar experienced person as let's face it they won't finish in the top 4 anyway.

I'm not happy with Giggs possibly becoming the manager either temporary or permanent, he's been there too long, he did nothing to help Moyes, nothing as caretaker and hasn't done anything to inspire the team with LVG
Offer him a job finding young talent or helping with the kids or he has to go
We have to stop living in the past, the kids of '92' is long gone, clear out and start again
offer the job to Martin O'neill and Roy Keane until the end of the season just to steady the ship or even Strachan
That would give us a few months to get a manager fit to manage the best team in the World. who I don't know !
I don't want Jose, there's no future with him 2-3 years and off, then we start again
