The way it drifted through the air over to outside the line of leg stump, before that wicked turn, taking the off stump.

It was THE perfect ball. Incredible.

Poor Gatt's dumbfounded expression said it all.

Default Sky Sports Ashes

Hats off to Sky for once, they've done a brilliant job with this channel.

The "Crickets Greats" series is fantastic brings back plenty of memories

So planner is now full of Cricketing programs and the wife is moaning about space

His dismisal of Strauss was pretty special as well

Agreed, on both your posts.

- Strauss should have got his pad out more, though... But I guess like Gatt, he simply didn't entertain it'd spin as far as it did! Mental.

- Still got a few more OD Ashes docos to download and watch, myself.

Sadly the last Ashes test for 2.5 years

4-1 would be nice

(Aside from back to back series), it's normally every two years... Well, every c.18 months (due to summertime in both northern and southern hemispheres).

So how come there's an extra year added on? Or has it been brought in as an 'antidote' to the 2013/14 back to back series?

*confused*

Remember they threw an extra series in back in 2013 I think, we have to wait until winter 2017 now, as you say probably an antidote to that extra series

A bit of an anti climax really. Absolutely abysmal performance to lose the 5th test and I couldn't celebrate if i'd played that badly.

Still, the funniest remark of the series for me was Gower saying the biggest mistake the Australians made in this series was getting off the plane

Yep, shame they played so bad in the last test - takes some of the gloss off.

But if you'd have given me the result of the series before it started, I'd've defo taken it. Esp. as we were touted as rank outsiders, by all and sundry.

The result was nearly as atrocious as the fact it's now on BT Sport

Totally. I got their 3 months free thing. Set a reminder so I don't forget to cancel, at least 30 days before the 4th month starts.

You can get it free on Mobdro. But the perceived stream resolution looks like it's 360p!

Thankfully I don't pay for it, use a family member's account but their coverage is still worthy of complaint even if I get it free.

I like listening to Beefy/Gower/Willis/Holding/Hussain/Athers on Sky doing the coverage.

At least you get to hear Boycs making a **** of himself on BT .

Typical England capitulation, after moanjing about our lack of 2,3,4 all summer I was pleasantly surprised with our 1st innings. Too many players out of nick at the moment.

Les hope Adelaide goes our way, we may get some swing under the lights with the pink ball.

Don't think it will be a whitewash but I don't think we can win the series.

Having BT internet has it's positives

Also I wish btsport would do an app on the xbox store so I can watch on the TV instead of my ipad all the time. Boycott is the only positive on btsport listening to him being a ****

The latest version ("Enhanced") of the BT Sport app can cast the image to a connected TV via Apple Play (and Chromecast), I believe...(?)

Can't imagine Stokes will join them? We can't rely on one person.

Let's see how this next one goes...

Some of the commentators/pundits will be employed to do stints for the different channels' own programming. He will have moved a few yards into the BBC5L booth after his BT Sport stint, no doubt.

But you already knew that.

They do that in the summer, anyone who is on Channel 5 (Highlights) will be running back and forth from TMS to C5 and the same for BT sport it now seems, Vaughan, Boycs , Smith etc etc

The only way Stokes will turn put for ENG is if the police drop the case.

Surprised it is still dragging on tbh, then again this is the British Justice system we are talking about

Quite, his international career could be over with how the CPS will take 10 years to process the case

Just announced on the radio that the police has passed the file to the CPS, do they read our Ashes thread

But the two lads who were being attacked for being gay said weeks ago he jumped in to save them from a gay bashing. I guess they will have their bank accounts checked out for any irregular payments....
