For those of you who enjoy schadenfreude, you're gonna love this:

I took Thursday, Friday and tomorrow of as holiday, specifically to watch this 2nd test! FFS!!

Epic fail.

Oh for sure, early on 'I knew' they'd lose. I had already booked the holiday and would've taken it in any case (could do with a break TBH).

Just that it's typical that I deliberately take holiday to view it, and we lose heavily. That scenario always seems to happen when I sit down and decide to 'see the match through'!

Murphy's Law and all that...

Yup! Like the commentator's curse.

I guess I should spend a few hours in the Pillory for my actions...

Toss lost, one hand behind our backs already .

Will be interesting to see how Bell and Finn get on in the next 5 days.

Chris this could be the last time you get to slate the Shermanator at this level

Now that's what I call a good pitch

And Finn well done for delivering an inswinging yorker to Clarke, at last an English pace bowler since Gough to know how to deliver the perfect ball

Mental! Just mental.

Okay, so it's 'ideal' English conditions... But NO WAY are they "60 all out in 18.3 ovs" conditions!!!

Ha ha, how I laugh that - of all morts - it's Broad that is their nemesis in all this carnage. His figures? 8-15!

Good to know my Aussie mates are still up watching this, although they're not taking too kindly to my texts.

Cool

Fantastic!

Loved every minute of it.

Can't wait for the end of The Oval test and the trophy presentation and celebrations.

That ball of Warne to Gatting still amazes me, one of the best deliveries there has ever been. And the Ashes will never be the same without the amazing commentary and punditry of Richie Benaud
