86 Subaru Leone RX TURBO STi
Put the gold wheels back on it. Looked far better IMO. I love this car.
Have you been measuring charge temps on the car? Was wondering how the relatively small FMIC compared to the charge cooler setup you had?

thank you
lol thanks
i sold the volk wheels which where gold, then i painted the tecnomagnesimo's gold and didnt like them... im actully going to pick them up right now and they are painted white lol
ill find a nice set of gold wheels one day
charge temps on and off the track work perfect now, the water system was heat soaking to much and i could only do small runs. my problem now is letting the heat out the hood. i'm working with someone that makes carbon fiber products so the future is going to get interesting

i add DBA 2 piece rotors for better stopping on the track, the stoptec ones cracked

I also add Forged Billet shifter forks, i was sick of the plastic tab suabru used for the stock STi 6MT transmission.

4 years I waited for one of these to show up used, this was made from cusco before it was a household name in the Subaru world and I have the original pamphlet with cusco head office address on it lol

My 1992 Subaru Loyale has seen better days the Canadian winters has eaten the body away so ill be stripping it down and using what I need to build my 1988

NVAUTO wiring harness built from the JDM wiring for my car.. AVSC JDM NBR WRX open source OBD2 ECU... stock on stock on stock !!

NVauto JDM WRX NB-R V7 V8 V9 STi wiring harness all complete ready to be added in the mighty LEONE SUPER Wagon !

so here is my new ECU in place and super clean job from my buddy Nam at NVauto

well here it is ready to get sent for paint and now we are all caught up with the build thread on the wagon.
insert EJ22T ( forged built bottom end ) EJ207 STi V8 big port heads, Turbo ?? maybe ( twin scroll / single scroll ) rotated & 6MT six speed STi R180 diff.

thanks and yes the deadening stuff has to go its to heavy and I like turbo sounds LOL.. ill try and make it special but won't be as crazy as my sedan.
thank you, wish I had a bigger work place to really organize stuff but I make do.
many parts have come in for the motor now its time to dig a ej22t block out and build it while I wait for paint work.
Wossner Made in Germany forged 22B pistons and connecting rods, STD size pistons means no messing around with my ej22t block & machine shop 👌.... I should have just built all my ej22T this way

ACL racing STD size bearings not race version, STi spec-c oil cooler adapter, proper water pump with single port and old school timing belt tensioner from the ej22t aka the motorsports racing tensioner.

aurora asm-10T military aviation spec front control arm spherical bearings, this will all me to run longer aka normal Subaru length CV axles and also camber. I won't need to modify the front crossmember to except XT6 front control arms.

lots of mess 🙆*♂️

ADDCO 22M front and rear sway bar set up for the wagon

Battery tray removed so I can slide them spark plugs in in seconds & front mount intercooler holes cut before paint work

hydraulic clutch slave holes drilled

BRZ koyo radiator fits like a glove

so since quarantine I've been busy in the shop.
picked up a Full Race twin scroll headers to match's my sedan set up

Borge Warner EFR 7163 takes care of the turbo with internal gated & bov

some 4 pot / 2 pot action to match the sedan set up, also got stainless steel pistons made up front and rear for thermal and rust prevention

got a personal specific torque plate made for my EJ22T blocks, proper thickness of the head was used so it match torque strengthens

torque plate results, yes it makes a difference for sure

time to assemble the wagon engine, the the spare motor for the sedan or the wagon lol

what its going to look like

can't have a new motor with out a good transmission, so I took apart my spare STi 6mt to change some synchros so its smooth like butter.

thank you so much, soon the shell will be back home 😁
all primed up and ready for the single stage white paint job to match my sedan

here is the pistons I made and got wrinkle red powder coated my valve covers

so after trying to rebuild my steering rack it seems that seals are impossible to source so !

The old school Subaru guys are going to find this one interesting !
1986-93 GL-10 TURBO engine Crossmember
1991-04 New age Subaru Steering rack
what we have here is a option that I can take advantage of
18:0 GL-10 steering ratio
15:1 STI 2004 steering ratio ( my new rack is on the way 😁✌️)

thanks today was exciting !. A 2004 Subaru STi Steering rack showed up, its time to install this into my old school 80s subaru engine cross member

so here is the issue, the lines need to be a little bit longer and then you move the bracket over to where the fancy factory sticker is.

take the bracket off and move the lines out the way, so there we have it, it fits right in the spot.

also we have to make it look original that's how I roll, sometimes lol !!
with the same bracket I cut out the U shape a little more, this way I can bolt it up like stock. then I flipped the bracket around so I can put the bolt on the top, this makes it easier to install.
you have to bend the lines into place for a little length which you can do by hand.

Ps: you have to enlarge the holes on the crossmember beforehand, and then cut the pocket out on the opposing side so the lines can stick out

what I gained from doing this
18:0 GL-10 Steering ratio to a impressive 15:1 04 STi Ratio, that's 4 ratios quicker. id say that's more impressive then everyone only upgrading from 15:0 to 13:0 (3 ratios )
