When you fit the folding mirrors, you need to pester the chap in the Group Buy section.

One of my favourite low cost mods, my car already had electric folding mirrors and rear wiper.

Holy Thread revival......
Just looking back the next job on this old list was folding Mirrors, Just got hold of my Mirror-matic, but no Mirrors and switch to be had...
On the look out for O2C Hawk Folding mirrirs and a wide track door switch set....
Cheers
It's a good mod but be aware you lose the heated function

One for open and the other for close.
I just wired them into the connector block at bottom of either door.
I've no idea which connector it goes to but I didn't when I did it either side just poked it in every connector until it moved.
Sadly through car is long gone but from memory there are two extra outputs on the switch.
One for open and the other for close.

So you wired the module as indicated mostly in the 1993-2007 wiring instructions (although the colours may have been different?) and then hunted around for something to connect the yellow & blue (switch signal 1 and 2). What about the orange signal wire to operate the mirrors?
Also, did you have to run a new wire into the door for permanent live from the dash area?

Thanks again Tubs & sorry for the thread invasion Captain!

Hopefully i'll work it out and then generate instructions for all newage cars that have the door mounted mirror button like mine.
Thanks for the info mate. Looks like I'll be doing some testing and playing about to get it working.

Nothing else needed.
I see. But presumably that was only because you were retrofitting folding mirrors onto a UK car that would not have had the complete loom for the in and out signals?
So in theory, my JDM car may already have these wired to the connector & switch in the right place as it already has folding mirrors. I will have a look and find out.
Thanks again for the info buddy. I'll let you know how I get on.
The two extra connections at the switch aren't the in and out signals.
What they are is a circuit round which current can flow in either direction.
Let's call them A and B.
When current flows A >> B the mirrors fold. When current flows B >> A they open.

Alcazar may well be correct.
It was around 2012 I did it and I know all I had to add was two wires from both switches down to door connector either side.
Comparing the UK switch to the jdm switch it was obvious where the two connections had been added.
It took me about an hour to do it.
Cool. I'll try wire mine in accordance to the instructions then and see if it works straight out of the box (as in theory my wiring is already in place). I'll make notes and report back.
Cheers big nuts!
