You need to be more detailed with your info. If it's an EJ 22 block it can't possibly be a 2.1 unless you're running a shorter crank which I doubt.
Your fuel pump looks like Bosch. Why was the engine rebuilt?

Could be wrong about block, it's closed deck.
Reason for engine rebuild was it threw a piston, and was burning quite a bit of oil, I decided to do the whole thing.

It "threw" a piston? What like out the side of the block?

What caused the piston to "throw"?

The whole of the skirt from one of the pistons broke away. Its irrelevant now as I decided to to a complete rebuild, I've had the car from new and spared no expense, its my daily drive so had to be reliable.

Trust me guys, it's sound as a pound and mechanically solid.

I just decided to go the whole hog on the rebuild, knowing I would be selling on I wanted whoever owns next gets a solid car.

I could of needed get full specs from akan Jeffery as they have done most of the works.

I've had remaps done by martin Jeffery, simon (jollygreen) who has sadly passed away now.

Gents there is nothing bogus about my cat mist of the receipts for work carried out are available.

Im not technically minded at all, I don't really know what's what only what I've heard alan Jeffery talk about.

Apart from power station Alan had undertaken all my other conversions.

Phew!!!

I wasn't doubting you, but dependingg on where/how/why it failed it might not have just been the engine that was the issue.

But it sounds like you had the exact same issues as my pistons on my 2.1 and it will have all been rectified now by engine tuner as they will have used a different sort of pistons that aren't prone to this type of failure!

Good luck with the sale, I hope this puts peoples mind at ease

No worries, apparently this had happened on a few of the Cosworth pistons on the 2.1's so I've been led to believe.
