The intercooler year on year for the STI/Spec C model range (bug/blob/hawk) are the same part, no difference in size or cores, the cooling system on the other hand is different (radiator etc).

Yes, you will find that model year on model year the intercoolers are the same, they still have the same core, the cosmetic changes dont do anything for the cooling.
