Hi
No its completely different how the calipers fit , so you would at least need new brackets , TBH , for the money you could get for your kit you would be better off selling your existing kit complete , and buying a complete new kit , would really cost you doing that as the Porsche kit would just about cover the cost of these kits if yours are in good condition

Cheers Ian

Wish I had seen this before I had mine fitted at yours on the 21st Jan, I could have saved myself 50 quid.

We can offer you AP 4 pots with 304mm discs and bells using CP5200 calipers , but would be about £1500 , these 6 pot kits need 17" wheels to clear , and we can offer them at such a good price as I bought some calipers at a good price

Ian what guarantee do you offer against warping if used in competition?

How much with Pagid RST or similar pads?

HI
Yes I think we have 2 pairs of calipers left to offer kits at these prices , and yes they will fit your Legacy , as long as you have wheel clearance
Cheers Ian

I'll guarantee them for track use , as in a road car , a competition car is much harder on brakes so no , I can't even stop the AP discs on my WRC car warping under very very hard use

You might never see any problems with our discs as we do use a thick wall disc , we have quite a lot of people using these kits rallying , and its rare to have an issue , you will get heat crazing , small cracks using a competition pad , but so do all other discs , its the nature of the beast , you shouldn't get any problems in competition , but we couldn't guarantee it

Cheers Ian

I have Prodrive GT1s 18" x 7.5 ET 53 and Legacy Blitzen 17" x 7 ET55.

I know that the AP 4 pots fit under standard Legacy 17" wheels...

and have been told that the 6 pots will as well. Both sets of wheels would require spacers to fit Brembo sized brakes...

Standard 316 mm brakes in case the view helps...

Thanks

Mick

HI
You would have had an invoice , with your card payment slip , and fitting instructions all stapled together with your kit , we can send you a copy invoice by email by return if you email who you are to ian@godspeedbrakes.co.uk
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian, out of interest how much more efficient are these over the newage brembo setup? Would be for track use mainly with very light road use.

Hi Ian

Trying to work out whether these brakes are a feasible option for me. I know it's dificult to say whether they will fit or not unless you have first hand experience...

I downloaded the AP caliper profile for the CP 7040s - but only available for the 355 mm discs - I shortened it to equivalent of 330 mm discs but there was insufficient clearance for this profile with my 17" Blitzen wheels...

I also downloaded the profile for the CP5570-1000 kit which is also 6 pot.. This one seem to be OK for clearance with my 17s...

It would appear from the drawings that the 7040 is only 8.7 mm wider from the centre line of the disc and 5.5 mm on the radial measurement than the 5570... So dependant on how much more your 'maximum offset bells' give compared to the AP bells - then this may work!

What do you think?

Mick
