I did see the traffic post lol. How anyone could say this was staged/fake is beyond me from what I've seen.

I imagine the French airwaves are taken up more with how they can change opinion / government tactics

This has been going on steadily increasing for a while now hasn't it?

are you suggesting that the policeman shot in the head, had a head the consistency and density of a watermelon?

They now appear to have robbed a service station.

Surely they can't go on for much longer?!

Bottom line here is that some extremists murdered 12 people with no justification whatsoever other than that their religious beliefs were offended.

And that, ladies and gentlemen of scoobynet is unacceptable. Period.

Irrespective of whatever side of the religious, political and media divide you happen to sit on. Irrespective of whether or not governments and media on both sides have stirred up a sh!tstorm. Irrespectve of who's come of worse. Irrespective of who's to blame for the hate.

I used a watermelon as an example as I don't think videos of what damage a single shot of an actual ak does to a head at close range will be well received on an open forum.

There isn't much left of the head and an instant pool of deep red blood everywhere.

It's a real struggle trying to decide which is more depressing. The fact there are people in the world so misguided and full of hate they're willing to carry out these kinds of horrendous attacks in the first place, or the fact that within hours of them doing so the Internet is crawling with crackpots trying to blame them on hairbrained conspiracy theories.

I'll help you out on deciding which really is more depressing as you seem to be struggling.
1) extremists, fanatics, agents killing and maiming thousands and millions of innocent men women and children around the world.

2)individuals sourcing all forms of information including the info the news will not show or state, "independent" information, deciding and looking for answers for them selves through video clips, interviews what happened rather than accepting what the bbc tell them.
The whole truth.

Err tis a close one??

I'm not that old, or maybe I am! Since in my short life, I've noticed how people just love to hate people that are different from themselves, and come together as group to do so.

Blacks, Jews, Germans, Indians, Chinese, Gays, etc. Have all been hated. Even London football team supporters hated other London football team supporters enough to kill each other at one point.

I don't think the Muslims who are killing others can ever be right, or any group killing can be right, but even if Muslims weren't killing people, they would still be hated, since its their turn.

I have no doubt that it will be another group that's hated at some point.

Terrorist/terrorism is used to create a sense of unity for the public at large to unite, buy papers, media, etc. because it sells. Just like Thatcher using the race card to get into power, politicians use terrorism and the fear of it as a way to gain popularity, which just fuels the fire.

When the IRA were killing, hurting and damaging buildings, etc. they never received as much terrorism hate, because it just wasn't useful to hate them, IRA didnt sell in the same way/scale as other groups doing wrong does. The public at large didn't join in the hate campaign towards the IRA or Irish people. I would think it was because Irish people look like everyone else you see every day. Where as muslims, like black people (who have undoubtedly had the worse hate campaign against them in history) look and are so different it makes it easy to hate them. Its human nature to unite and easily hate those that are different from us. Until something else happens, or a group that is even more different comes along, i think muslim bashing will just continue regardless of what happens.

You can take the police in the USA as an example, there were quite a few shootings in 2014 of innocent black people by the police there, some of which ended in death that were never reported as terrorism (extreme example i know, but the principle is the same). Some of which didn't even make it into the news. If it was a Muslim that had shot those black people it would be world wide news, because it sells.

Unfortunately some people, will see hating as an opportunity. I wouldn't at all be surprised if a group carried out shootings and made it look like muslims for their own reasons. Because the public are so easily led.

I grew up in a parts of London that were very multicultural and never really fitted into any groups, supported any football teams or felt part of any sort of group, and saw how being part of a group, whatever the cause can cloud otherwise decent peoples common sense and just make people bounce off of each others energy before actually thinking (in both negative and positive circumstances).

I think Muslims are just going to have to ride this wave out, people are too easily led by others, politicians, media and even news reporters who add their own spin to sell. I cant see that there is anything Muslims or anyone can do to stop them from getting bashed in what ever they do. Could be a long time, even Germans after WW2 are aware that they are still looked upon as warring Jew haters.

I don't think Muslims are hated, hate is a strong word.
Certain extreme groups are committing terrible crimes against innocent people and quite rightly they are condemned, by most, for doing so.

So because my views don't match yours I'm a part of the problem?
These nutters are the problem not me, do not put me alongside them.
