To be fair insurance value was a moot point as the package showed as delivered. Plus ASB offered a refund of £250 which he didn't have to as the case was found in his favour. If he was a con man he'd have told Jamie Jerkovic to do one.

I buy bits off ASB every few weeks and I've never had an issue, all the couriers have issued advice saying stuff will be delayed due to the whole black friday thing. Yodel stopped picking up for 4 days last week to clear the backlog etc.

Whatever happened to a bit of patience? Before the guy can even get back to you you call the bank and tell them fraud, seriously? I spent £1200 on a set of wheels and only one arrived, I called the courier and the seller and 2 days later the others arrived.

Don't go shouting fraud, scammer, rip off merchant until you've given people a decent chance.

Just for the record if it's a civil matter the Police will not be interested. They deal in criminal law not civil.

It could be criminal if you paid for something and didn't receive it at all but the Police would expect you to have put a lot of work in. As for items that are not as they seem again the Police will not be interested unless it's an out and out fraud. Not a dispute over scratches....

I've used Peter a fair few time's and i can honestly say he's a genuine lad and a subaru enthusiast. He even drove from his home to meet me in Glasgow for a few little parts for free.

i have no problem's with trusting him or his integrity. as for the other thread about a turbo, something doesnt sound right and i think there's more to it from the couriers side. Only saying that as speaking from experience with that courier

This tbh is getting out of hand you got to give the guy a chance and at least let him get in touch. Just cause somebody's parcel did or did not arrive? He seems be getting the stick quite a bit

These prodrive seats are getting old now and a few scratches isn't the biggest deal

I bought one in frp had a few scratches machined polished out job done

I also have experience of buying from ASB and the item was as described(used),used parts are usually what breakers sell! Threads with titles like "con-merchants" are bang out of order and keyboard warriors who have never had dealings with the trader just sticking the knife in are just total bellends! Certain members trying to bring this site down to their level seem to be winning and makes me wonder why I paid my subs
I will be thinking twice when renewing.
Rant over!!!

I use asb for most parts to be fair.

I did once receive a diff from him that I hadn't ordered. It was delivered along with another parcel that was for me. When I checked it was labelled for someone else. The fault was with the courier so he had it picked up at his own cost and reshipped to make sure the correct person received it in good time. I think that's cracking service when he wasn't at fault at all.

I think people do jump the gun a little. Its not always the sellers fault.

Ive asked mods to delete all my for sale posts. Not worth the hassle here anymore, plenty other places to advertise on.

And FYI, the advert for the seats said No rips or tears, fireglass backs.
Didnt say scratches or no scratches. Im quite happy for mods to reinstate the advert is possible.

Not good for the op who is a newby posting a thread like this
Without contacting the seller first
And second hand IS second hand not new and perfect

A thread like this can cause a lot of bad Buisness for the seller

The original advert reinstated above.

As for deleting all of your For Sale posts, I apologise, but I haven't got time to go one by one deleting threads right now, plus I'd rather give a bit time for you to make a definite decision, rather than one made when you're feeling frustrated.

If you still wish to no longer trade after a sleep on it, then it's up to you, and you are able to delete threads yourself (should a mod not be around to do so).

I've used ASB with NO Issues whatsoever.

Top notch fella and seller!

Those Prodrive seats are so rare, who would even care about the scuffs on the back, paint them!

Back to the original post, the reinstated advert does actually state further down the thread that there are no marks on the backs.

Yes but a picture paints a thousand words and the marks on the back can be seen. (Or at least some)

So don't buy then. The op made a decision on the information at hand and if you or anyone is saying it's shìt then more fool the op for buying.
