Offside: easy to understand after it being (successfully) explained to you... But hard as hell to define it in words.

I've tried explaining it to my 9yr old. FIFA helps as like post game analysis it shows the line on the pitch as to where the offending player is compared to the second man.
But the whole 'interfering with play' side is open to anyone's interpretation.

No wonder all football fans are fighting in the stands constantly for 90 minutes

Yeah, as if it wasn't challenging enough to understand or explain, at least the laws were 'known knowns'.

^^^ But now we have contend with that wholly subjective bit of extra legislation.

Don't worry we still have the extreme violence that is involved with football.
I do feel sorry for people who don't like football. It's just a way of saying 'I wasn't popular at school and was always picked last'.

Tut tut you're slipping, you forgot how people who don't like the game are gay too.

Ahem, 'humans' are a pathetic, failed race. 'We' need saving from ourselves... But how?!

I detest 'people'. End of.

I reckon football fans should be labelled terrorists.

Oh wait, there is probably no political gain to be had by doing that, so football hooligans will just be left to kill each other for as long as they want to continue doing so.

A bunch of Chelsea fans repeatedly push a black man off a Paris train, in order to refrain him from embarking, and openly claim that they're racist.

http://news.sky.com/story/1429488/ch...boarding-train

Fantastic behaviour on the show.

Good sport on its own, but such bad followers.

They are most likely either Chelsea Headhunters or Combat 18. Chelsea has a long history with having their unwanted following. These aren't football fans just like the other examples brought up aren't but organised criminal gangs and thugs who use football as a rivalry and status against their rival gangs. Without football they would still exist and simply find the next high profile event to use.

To tar all football fans the same as these c***s is no different to tarring all Muslims as terrorists or any other misguided and utterly wrong stereotyping.

I think this video should be shown over and over again. It does a great job of showing these idiots up and hopefully the shame of looking and sounding so moronic on national TV will make others think twice.

Football and racism, inextricably linked I'm afraid. No surprise really given the IQs of the majority of fans.

You are utterly deluded! I don't have words for the stupidity displayed in your post!

They are followers of football and football breeds this behaviour. You don't want to admit it, but it's fact!

I can't believe I missed this originally but seriously what the actual ****?!

From memory the kids at school who were really into football and were really good at it were the ones which couldn't get 5 decent GCSEs between the entire team.

Here we go again with your insults. I think you're a cvnt and extremely stupid to boot but so what? You clearly have no intelligence to differentiate between organised thugs and real football fans trying to stir it up on here (nothing less than trolling) that every football fan behaves like those morons. They are more your level of intelligence clearly. You are the first on here to criticise anyone for stereotyping sections of society yet here we have you being an utter hypocrite saying they are representative of the majority of football fans. That's a lot of football fans globally you have labelled as thugs and racists with no justification other than your hatred for the sport.

You hate the World's most popular sport we get it however it's your loss so you can now STFU about it.

No worries, the feeling is entirely mutual!

I have never said every football fan behaves like that, you are reading that into my posts because you want to have a pop and yet you claim I am the one with no intelligence. What I do say is that the game a) breeds that sort of behaviour, b) is followed by a fair quotient of stupid people and c) has tribal violence associated with it that no other sport has.

All true and to be in denial about it just makes you part of the problem!

Nope
You really are a thick cvnt Read back over 8 pages and see it is all you being abusive to anyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. You have typed plenty of comments suggesting if you follow football you are of low IQ, stupid and plenty of other insults and part of the problem of football violence. Even Lisa, probably the most level headed contributor to this forum, told you the way you were posting your comments made it look like you were saying it was all and sundry despite your protestations that is not what you were saying.

So all the children who like the sport globally, they fall into your stupid category as well do they? They fall into the majority of the fans? No? Better say who you consider in the majority and who you consider in the minority then because out of 3.5 billions fans it seems an absolute minuscule number who are involved in any actual trouble yet you say it's the majority of fans.

I can only think in your utter stupidity you have got the meaning of majority and minority confused.

You think you are above anyone who posts an opinion opposite to yours demonstrated by your many insults to numerous posters on this thread yet everyone is just laughing at you for being such an utter fecking bell end

I understand the difference between majority, minority and all though. You on the other hand.

Look don't take this the wrong way, but your opinion of me is worthless as far as I am concerned. In my opinion you have rarely posted anything of interest or worth and when I see your crassly constructed 'oh so clever' username on the end of a post I don't exactly rush to find our what gem of information you have imparted to the thread in question and that is me being polite!

Now you are clearly getting very angry as your sport is being called and pointed out for what it is. Hurling insults at me is fine, but it does not change the facts and I fear the truth hurts hence your barrage of put downs.

At the end of the day football engenders tribal aggression and attracts people of a violent and volatile disposition as is borne out every week.... try and not reinforce that view eh?

Now I suggest you calm down as we wouldn't want you to burst a blood vessel would we now?

PS you were right about me thinking I am above anyone whose opinion is different to mine though

at me getting angry with you. I've simply posted insults back at you as you seem to love throwing them at everyone else as demonstrated over 8 pages of your inane drivel. You can dish it out but always then criticise anyone for throwing insults at you, awww diddums.

So no anger here whatsoever, you're flattering yourself again. I'm just adding to the other posters to have already laughed at you and shown you up for being utterly dim And don't worry about your opinion of me too much as i'm really not interested, sorry. I only read what you post as it's funny to see you once again making such an ar$e of yourself saying how everyone else is stupid and you're so great and having a laugh with everyone else at your expense

Yep that's right, still laughing at your pathetic attempts of insulting the World's most popular sport and it's fans and insinuating the majority of 3.5 billion fans are to blame for a tiny number of mindless thugs and racists Oh and how you want the sport banned

As I said, dim

Its not it's, but you're not dim... oh no Sir, no way.

Whatever you say petal

The sport is poison and I would love it to be got rid of, but it will not be happening so no worries. Let the tribal violence continue!
