exactly, boxing day comes early. Stores buy in ****e to sell "cheap" to all the desparate scum, who are frothing at the mouth for a "deal". If you take away the background in the pictures...this looks like scenes from Africa where food parcels have been dropped.

Cheap budget stuff; nothing you can't get again at some point in the future.
Richer sounds we doing them at bargain bin prices ages ago. So they are probably end of line stuff now.
Not bad for the money, but still get what you pay for...probably made by one of the Turkish consortiums; so the warranty is only as good as the retailer's.

I agree with the bolded bit. I drove past Greyhound Park, Chester today. I had a thought of stopping by, but 1. I don't need anything, and 2. I couldn't be bothered to tear through the crowd to look for something I don't need.
Fugly/inadequate or not, but too many people did fall for this Black Friday carrot dangling for sure.

I thought nobody in this country had any money, and are living in wage poverty (or whatever milliband says).

Honestly, have you seen the advert for Very online retailer on TV? My God, the amount of plastic tat involved is phenomenal! <shakes head>
I prefer the Iceland advert, although I never shop there. I am going to go and buy crocodile burgers from there; just to try. If I bump into Peter Andre, I will ask him to join Scoobynet.

Depends upon how desperate people are. Similar to what we see on the TV news when the food is being dropped from Oxfam helicopters in some natural disaster struck areas of the world.
Seriously, that man in Cardiff nearly lost his jeans in the mass struggle for a 40-incher, his maroon underpants were shamelessly showing through his hanging jeans. He was like a dog with a bone for the TV; totally oblivious of exposing his undies. Saying that, as such low hanging stupid jeans are already in fashion, no one batted an eyelid, I suppose. Had they come off completely, then he would have carted his telly home with no jeans on. What has this world come to, eh.

I was too busy at work to prat around a soulless grey box getting duped by massive corporate publicity stunts. Looking at those videos, you'd think they were the last TVs on earth?!
It's like chucking sweets in the air at the playground and shouting SCRAMBLE!

The scenes across the country seem shocking. If it's an indication of poverty, poor wage growth etc then it's very sad.
However since most people were fighting over TVs I wonder if it just reflects the rise of tech consumerism.
But given we are talking Blaupunkt, Seiki and Polaroid ffs I wonder if it's just stupidity and mass hysteria.
Seems like Manchester had it the worst though, police were called to SEVEN stores.

Those videos are shocking! Is that what it's like in America as well or are they a lot more civilised about it? I picked up a relatively good deal on Amazon for an Xbox bundle from the comfort of my own home. I wonder if it will be worse next year?! I bet most of those people in the supermarket stores were just going for the hell of it anyway!
