If you're really getting through that many hot drinks a day, you might want to think about one of these instead of a kettle:
Hot Water Dispensers

Some of them also appear to have filters built-in.

Otherwise, my trusty Breville stainless steel model has lasted well over 5 years in a hard-water area, and still going strong.

It didn't destroy the locals that I met at Frodingham Road's Polish club last night. I think it was the vodka destroying them.

Had ours well over 2 years, most used bit of kit in the kitchen, its great.
