scooby project . stud 7 years and in a bit of bad state.
Got keys for garage but guy not moved the other cars yet so fingers crossed be tomorrow
Jeez, there's some old pervs on here. Not exactly a nice welcome, must be bloody frustrating being a woman sometimes.
Good luck with the project. It looks like a sonic blue car, would mean it was a Euro import as sonic blue was never a UK colour apart from Terzo and P1. I had one a few years back, nice colour to have on a turbo 2000. Usually came from Belgium or holland, ordered by a UK punter in RHD. Top gear were advocating Euro import many years ago as a cheaper way to purchase. On the Impreza meant you could get the nice sonic blue paint on your turbo 2000.

I'm still saying sonic blue, 74f
Car is a year 2000 from what I can see, engine and looks like a W at the start of the plate. So unless someone's sprayed it reddish blue then it should be 74f sonic blue, which would make it a Euro Import 2000 Turbo.

It's only a Euro import. It's not a Japanese import, the model is still a turbo 2000 and can be insured the same as a UK model. It would have been sourced for our market through a Euro dealer.
Getting really well impatient now been waiting for the guy to dig my project girl out and still waiting.. wouldn't mind but I'm paying for a garage as told he would bring Friday and still no car. So glad I've not paid for the car tho.
Tip for getting rid of mould and musty smell from leather and fabric...white distilled vinegar diluted 1:1 with water. After the leather is clean, soak leather with solution (spray on is easiest) and leave to dry. You will need to keep repeating this quite a lot before musty smell goes and mould is killed. Will be more affective if you can strip the seats down as much as possible to get the solution into the foam as well and onto the back of the leather, try to avoid getting too much onto the seat frame/springs as it might make them a little rusty. The smell of the vinegar will disappear when dry.
I tried this on a leather recliner that had been left in a damp conservatory and had mouldy patches and wreaked! It's now totally restored, no smells. Worth a try.
Also, if there is any staining in the leather from the mould send a sample of the leather to Gliptone and they will match a dye for you, works a treat.

Thank you mod rich. I'll defo give a try. We're gonna dye the seats black but leave the blue bits on the seats as I really don't like the colour lol . I'll be putting pics up as I go along. So keep watching

gona take some serious amount of elbow grease to get that paint shining again.
