Thanks Jim. Sold the Carrera back in August to make way for this one. Carrera was lovely, no problems at all and a great GT car whereas this thing is a rattly beast

I can do a mini review but I'm only 350miles in at the moment and the weather is not being kind and still trying to run it in a little. Been told a myriad of things about running in but generally its a 1000 miles without thrashing the nuts off of it so i'm trying to keep around the 6000rpm mark. Handling wise it feels pretty planted even though i haven't had a dry day yet, you just need to respect it a little in this weather. My car came with the Dunlops which apparently are a better cold/wet weather tyre than the Michelin cup 2's so its quite handy for these winter months.
The car is so much more of an occasion than the Carrera S i had and Porsche have managed to deliver a car thats still drivable and liveable but still has the GT3 rattles and spirit. Gearbox is superb and the engine feels like it has so much more get up and go than my Carrera. Just can't wait to get to use the full 9000rpm. I need to learn the car a little and found that there is a fair amount of slip built into the traction control before it comes in, it will happily spin the wheels in 2nd gear at 5000rpm on these slippery roads. It has 2 traction control settings, firstly you can take the stability controls off but leave the TC on and obviously you can have it all off. I believe the best setting would be to turn stability off but leave the traction on, that way you should be allowed a fair bit of slip without the stability braking and torque vectoring trying to keep the thing straight. I have my GT3 experience at Silverstone to take in December so i will get to learn a lot more about how it handles in the safety of their facility.
