Look forward to meeting you Rob Oh, and can you confirm if there are lots of big potholes on the road leading to your premises...?

Nice smooth tarmac on the entry to our premises & no ludicrous road tests either

I had a voicemail from the garage this morning, they also said they're only getting one a month. Apparently I'm 4th in the queue so we'll see

Its only the Inflator that gets changed not the airbag, so will be no need to reflock

I would guess not as your hatch won't be affected. Details of affected VINs are here: Impreza airbag recall

Had mine swaped over this morning at Cotswold Subaru, Only took 30min to do.
Spoke to the parts manager and he said there is a back log on the replacement air bags coming through,

They have 50 or so cars booked in for the swap but only getting a the odd air bag turning up due to a massive shortage in the supply, This is mainly due to the fact the part is used by so many other manufactures and there Isn't the supply to go round.

He assured me that the DVLA have been informed and they will be sending out letters to all the owners with the affected cars!

He did also mention that not all the cars in the same model line are affected! So if you don't get a letter don't worry.

Affected vehicles are identified in the VOSA recall notice:

You need to check chassis number PN but as mine was a JDM Spec C manufactured in Dec 2005, there's a good chance you will

That's weird Mark as those dates on the recall above would imply that it does?

Looking at the dvla thingie above am I right in thinking I'm ok unless in the event of a crash? As that's good I never drive it fast or silly enough to have a front end smash and it shouldn't pop out in a rear end shunt if God forbid any1 came into the back?

Cleared some space mate, Everyone is airbag or parts requests
I've sent a list of import vins for checking, it will take some time for a reply from japan as it's not as quick as the uk setup to check, Apologies for the delays
