Was listening to Jeremy vine think it was Thursday or Friday's show , anyway
He had 2 experts on & they said it has a very long & robust lifespan in comparison to other blood pathological virus ... So from that I concluded weeks , given its lengthy incubation period also spanning weeks
Shorter the better so I hope your right m8

there have been ones before I believe - but they have been localised and contained

has the virus changed in some way

Excuse my ignorrance, but can this only be transfered human to human or can it survive on for example, imported food products?

I was really thinking along the lines of what different ways the virus can survive and travel between humans. Its sounding likely there will be some degree of outbreak across europe eventually.

^^^My first read of Ebola and similar type illnesses.

The main reasons for worsening outbreaks seems to be increased population movement (and facilitation thereof by roads/rail) in inner Africa.
