yeah i had one on my old 328i vert mate but thats as i scratched the bonnet really bad

I had a nice 328i with all the m tech kit, leather, manual box, coilovers and 18s, black angel eye headlights, dvd player and few extra mods like better brakes, had it on a m50 and a remap

had it on ebay for 1700 and loads crap offers but wanted another scoob really bad!! and sold it for a quick sale at 1450, There was loads nice e36s for sale about so its a bad market for them i think , people want them standard now

I think they look pretty boring standard. I do like the lower looking with some decent wheels and a different paint job, like white, violet etc

Probably wont deal (if at all) until near the end of October as I have 5 months tax left on scoob and don't really want to loose a month of it lol

If that was the case, then why are there not many scoobs with them?

The only really cool lift up doors I came across was in an Ultima Chevrolet, which caused a right stir when I popped the door up at traffic lights on a stinking hot day with no functioning air con.

Ultima :

We looked at buying one many years ago (ended up with a NSX instead).

Funnily enough the driver's door was broken

Because the combination of fake roof scoops, dump valves and stickers is far wankier

The Ultima's a very exciting machine, but a "component" car nevertheless. How about an NSX/Chevrolet?

You're defiantly without a doubt going to look like a right kn0b at the supermarket and petrol station with 'lambo' doors.

To 19 year old chavs I imagine you will get some bonus points but to the average person not born in the mid-to-late 90's you will get some serious head scratching. They are to the world what three spoke alloys were.

Back in the 70s my Dad (RIP) brought one home one night, as his new company car. Twin-headlight GXL in light metallic blue with the pimpled vinyl roof.

As a small kid, I thought it was the coolest looking car out... Sadly, Mum (RIP) did not (too low for her, apparently).

It went back the very next day, never to be seen again and a little boy's 'fantasy' was shattered thereafter.

I quite like it when you see a 70's or 80's car being driven nowadays

I saw an Austin Allegro the other day on the a14

It was wonderful and looked so different to al the bland euro boxes you get used too - they were a **** cars, even in their day

But they had a simple honest sh*tery about them

It's amazing what a few decades and rarity does to enhance the appeal of a car-even one that was crap!

My Mk4 Cortina had a black vinyl roof, louvres on the rear window and a rubber boot spoiler, looked the bomb as it was fire engine red.

In my defence it was 31 years ago and I was 17 at the time, I still miss that car even though it was nothing but trouble, passed my test in it and it was a proper babe magnet.
