I agree the amounts so far are only small, and some might say pointless moaning about but for me it's the principal of being ripped off by a supposed fellow Subaru enthusiast. There is no excuse for this long of a delay and the bottom line is he committed a fraud. His personal email address, bank details and a full list of what people have paid for and when will be passed on to the relevant people. As on its own the police are not interested in a single loss of £15 to one person but to multiple people.. That is a whole new ball game

trouble is as I say when it is EBAY or CHESHIRE PERFORMANCE everybody is up in arms yet when it is a regular forum member nobody seems to be that bothered do they...

I know not everybody is tarred with the same brush but now when I look at items for sale I think I wonder if I will receive them...

Going back to the very original thread... There are a lot of sold items so has anyone actually recieved any items at all?? Even if collected in person. There have been a few posts off people saying Gooner 1 is genuine or a nice guy... Get him to prove it by either sending the items or a refund. This matter will not go away and as stated in a previous post, fraud has been committed by misrepresentation of selling goods

annoying to think there was a few people saying they were waiting for goods etc etc and yet all that we got was 3 names

I have given up any hope of getting the item I paid for as obviously gooner1 is just scum and a waste of time and not to be trusted in any way shape or form.... he is the sort who will commit fraud and be proud of it....also funny that nobody came forward to say gooner1 sent him anything did they whenever either this selling time or in the past..

as I have also said there may be 99% genuine people on the forum but all you need is one person like this and it gives the whole forum a bad name and reputation.

I couldn't agree more with your post Nikon man, strange how I've had personal emails off quite a few different people but yet there are only 3 of us on the list. I'm pretty sure someone on scoobynet personally knows who this gooner 1 is, what comes around goes around. The moderators have let scoobynet down by not having a way of sorting issues like this out and now I will not trust anyone off here for buying anymore

[QUOTE=nikon-man;11548712]trouble is as I say when it is EBAY or CHESHIRE PERFORMANCE everybody is up in arms yet when it is a regular forum member nobody seems to be that bothered do they...

I have noticed this too, I would like to think it should be the other way round! when a fellow scooby enthusiast lets people down.

It's the princible that really bothers me, that you hand over money in good faith and then get stiffed. What is this guys problem? how can you take money off people and not supply the goods? How do you do that???? wtf?

No goods, no refund, no reply threads, no comms (via SN or E-mail) yet he has logged into scoobynet since. Just a rude f**king idiot and a nasty c*nt.

PROVE ME WRONG.

They have, its called not paying by paypal gift or bank transfer unless you know that a seller is 100% legit.I do though feel for all the members who have lost out and your right things like this should not happen, but in reality they do,sometimes on purpose other times from situation's that no one can get an explanation for as no one can contact said seller.SJ.

As they say "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" and if that is the case that he has been logging on and still has not replied to all of his buyers question's and concerns, that is bang out of order and truly shocks me as he is quite a long standing member and i would not of expected him to conduct his business in that manner.I am not to sure if they could do anything, but has anyone tried contacting the mod's and seeing if they can look into this matter?.SJ.

To carry the list on..

4. Nest225 paid £35 on the 29th September for the k&n air filter.

I don't think there is much the moderators can do is there? Perhaps someone who might know him could come forward and try bring light to the situation? Anyway we can get the word out there maybe?

If no one knows his address and the mods cannot intervene, then you have two hopes in recouping your money or getting your parts,NO hope and Bob hope and i'm sorry to say Bob's left the building.SJ.

if you read advice given on buying and selling on here, number 1 is don't pay by PayPal gift or bank transfer.
you were stupid enough to do so,so don't blame moderators for doing nothing as there is little they can do anyway.

FT is correct,Advice is given how to buy and sell on this site and a guide line to follow to be safe with your purchase or selling, but like yourself i do feel that being in a Subaru community should allow a form of trust especially between long standing members.I have bought and sold numerous things on this site and have never had any problem's what so ever. Some time i think it's the roll of the dice with certain members and you take a chance paying money into someone's account or using gift payment from paypal if you don't really know them or have never meet them face to face.I know it hurts but the way that things seem to be going it looks like you might have to take this on the chin, and be that much wiser from you own personal experience for the future.SJ.

This will sound harsh but, if your too tight to pay the paypal fees then your putting yourself at the risk of being mugged off!
Same when you don't pay to post an item to be signed for, you need to always have proof and back-up in any online transaction.
Never trust anyone online!!

shame you haven't been reading this problem....it is nothing to do with being too tight to use paypal it was the fact that the thieving scumbag ( gooner1 ) doesn't use paypal so how were we supposed to use it......

I agree, paypal is the way to go but in this instance gooner stated he didn't have paypal and seeing he has been a SN member since 2007 AND has a trader score of 11, I made an exception.

Don't buy it or drive and collect it!
I can't see any reason why people don't use paypal unless there on the rob!

I guess his rep etc made it seem he was a genuine guy, just there's a lot of these threads about people not sending stuff these days in all forums and the majority are people who don't pay the fees.

I hope you all get your money back some how

Am not too long on this site and don't make big deals at the moment, but this moment that genuine seller ( like we can see feedback score and since 2007 on forum make us wrong ) don't have paypal disappoint me and I was stuck how I can pay now fast and safe if paypal didn't helps?
Also now understand that my gods about am after was sold out in the same time (+1 day maybe not more) for someone else who was unlucky and pay straight cash from bank.
So looks like here no mistakes and all going not well from start? I hope am wrong.
Need to go deep in forest.
I don't believe that impossible to find genuine Scooby owner from region - if its true Essex.
Very sad, now will be very careful with items and sellers/buyers.
Scoobynet before this topic was maybe last safe place for shopping due all around serious people and here are specific forum.
But now looks like FB pages or eBay are safer.
P.S. don't loose nothing in £££ just lucky now ( was after rear brembos )
Sorry for bad English.
