A lot of money for something that will probably never really take off. I have no doubt they will sell loads of them as some people 'just have to' have them.

I'm not hating on Apple as I have a ipad and it's fantastic for what it
does.
Features are the same across the range, the extra cash is for extra craftsmanship. It's OK to not get it right now, people didn't get the iPhone and especially the iPad straight away. £350 isn't much really, I'm used to buying Suunto watches for similar money and less use.

I didn't really get the draw pictures thing, the use of a flower doesn't help, if Apple had drawn a dick and sent it to Jony's wrist more people would have understood it's usefulness.

You paid similar money , so about 400 quid for a Suunto to tell you what exactly Jack?

Just how much "craftsmanship" do you think goes into them
in the Chinese sweatshop where they are made?

Accurate altitude, I fly paragliders under and above airspace. The iPhone 6 now has a barometer built in, the reason I bought it as I was very happy with my 5s.

So funny, who's running the luxury factories in China? I want to buy their products.

I hear the gold is expertly polished on the thighs of eunuchs, sweaty eunuchs.

You need to apply some deft moniker (like craftsmen made) together with a whopping great price tag cos otherwise the faithful will feel they're buying an inferior product

Your'e comments are getting desperate already, I'm sorry you're so bitter, maybe avoid Apple threads instead of adding some dumb comment to every one.

Honestly..... what a load of crap.

I have both an iPhone 6 and a Galaxy Note 3, and I sure as hell can't see the point in this. I have a first gen Galaxy Gear which I bought for the novelty. I very rarely do anything with it besides look at the time on it and occasionally read texts.

It's nice to have these things as a fun gadget etc. but who are Apple trying to kid with their prices?

And before you tell me I can't afford it etc. I'll tell you that you are very wrong on that one.

£250 I can see value in. £500 not so much.

My health has improved more than £400 worth just by using the sensors and software on my phone, it will improve even more with the watch and I'm worth it.

Apple pay should be here soon, no more digging for payment cards, wallets or phones, it's right there on my wrist.

There are hundreds of fantastic uses, but if you lack imagination then yes, it's just a watch.

Maybe this is the turning point, get some tech that not only shows you're not moving enough but also tells you to get off your ****, many companies make products that do this, it could mean another 10 years of bugging me and that's worth it is it not.

I don't think anyone can argue on the basis of price. Let's face it where watches are concerned all common sense goes out of the window as regards value for money anyway and the Apple can do a lot more than any Rolex or whatever!

A 'watch' that only lasts 18 hours?

IMO this kind of technology is a waste of time until battery technology has caught up.

Of course the battery technology is available but if they put it in the 1st edition then they can't use that as an improved feature in version 2 next year and sell the same thing over and over again to the same people.

I know, funny innit. They'll be plenty of isheep with more money than sense that will have to have one whether they need a cheap plastic, gimmicky watch or not. If apple put their logo on some sheep droppings and called them limited edition sheep droppings you'd still get isheep buying them.

Did you miss the metal and glass part of the watch, I know it's only the majority of it and easily missed but I should point it out. Apple went as far as to make their own Aluminium, Steel and Gold, attention to detail like that costs money.

You'd be a bit silly if you bought a Watch without an iPhone, luckily a lot of people have iPhones.
